Merri walks into the tavern of Trollsbane and sits down on a stool. Shortly thereafter, a man walks up and asks him for a diamond ring. After some negotiating a price is decided. As Merri hands him the ring and hold his hand out for the silver, he is pushed down and told that he has just been robbed.
"Damn thieves... this is the third time this week," Merri says to himself. "I am sick and tired of this town and its thieves. I am tired of the lack of my own kind. I am going to find a settlement of halflings, somewhere where i can be safe and with my own kind."
He then heads to the docks and makes arrangements with a captain. He can be last seen telling Tom to take good care of the company.
