Pigs just give you a certaint skill, later one you will need to shoot at other targets.

here is what I suggest get a serinjah rider bow they shoot relatively quickly and is a good training bow with some power too. yes kill pigs lots of them, but if you can get a good fighter with good defensive skills and let him protect you and go kill some monsters with flesh I suggest the bandits but only if you have a good fighter with you never go anywhere alone unless your amazing with the bow and I mean amazing. bow training is slow ask a ranger to help you also IG. they no far more than I do

okay thanks a lot. And also does damage matter at all? If not it would work best if i used a bad bow so the target lasts longer right?

This is one thing that is a bit odd to me. As a beginner it wont matter what quality weapon you shoot with, because you are going to suck. However, once you become a skilled marksman it would be a good idea to have a training bow not to wreck your good one. Your problem wont be the bow really it will be the number of arrows that you can get. doesnt matter if you use an amazing bow or a bad bow how many arrows you have will determine how good of an archer you will become so happy hunting for arrows. Could always make your own if you have good dexterity. Good luck I hope you become an excellent archer there arent many IG.

I havent heard of such a thing some bows do shoot faster than others. Like I said you are going to need a lot of arrows in order to be a good archer so make some copper or learn to make them. Sorry I am not a bigger help but as with anything time will tell.

when you go into your account, where you can make a new char, there you can choose prefabricated chars.
compare various. then you can see, which abilities are more important for which "profession".

Okay, my skill is only light blue, and i used 385 arrows on one skellie. I got two swirlies, the last with like 3 arrows left. Am i still getting ranged exp from them or where those for something else? Do i get it at all because arrows dont hurt skellies? Should i move on to a different monster? Thanks

As far as I know, you are wasting arrows against skellies.

Try Goblins, Bandits, Gnolls or even Trolls, but Mummies die well and you should still get swirlies from those.
