Eating food.
Ive just recently joined Illarion after two years or perhaps longer of knowing of it, and Im still trying to learn my way around. Ive come across a problem, I can't eat food that Ive gott'n from hunting, it says "unkown food item" typo and all. Do I have to learn what the food is before I can eat it or is it a bug. If I do have to learn, then where do I go to learn? Can someone point me in the right direction please?

hunted food has to be processed, before it can be eaten.
the easiest meat to process is pork
but you can eat fruits and mushrooms raw, as you find them.
(only, that you get poisoned now and then...)
edit:
you know the tavern in trollsbane?
behind the bar, at the right side from the yellow depot, that thing is an oven...

Ah, well being able to learn the things such as cooking and making my own clothing would be useful as thats what I planned my character to be able to do, perhaps not as for profession but just as a hunter would do in the wild because its what he needs.
There doesnt seem to be any proper source of information to help along and asking questions can become irritating. It's also difficult for me to stay focused when trying to learn from text, thats just the way I am, I struggle reading information, but I dont want to just give up.

Tailoring is simple (most people do this)Tann wrote:Ah, well being able to learn the things such as cooking and making my own clothing would be useful as thats what I planned my character to be able to do, perhaps not as for profession but just as a hunter would do in the wild because its what he needs..
Grab a needle and scissors, get thread from entrails, and then you click on the MATERIAL YOU'RE WORKING ON (I know, its weird)
(Example, if you want to create leather shoes, you shift click on the dry leather)
