So, does this mean that a smith with level 70 smiting will not be making the same amount of things as the do now (same for a level 40)?Nitram wrote:Thats pretty hard to compare, since the main idea is different.Miklorius wrote:Do you need more/less mouseclicks and more/less time to make a given amount of an item?
If you take the ressource gathlering ( e.g. mining ) or the ressource refining ( e.g. making ingots ) you need alot less clicks then currently. Maybe you know how the flailing of grain works currently. It basically works this way with all ressource related actions. You start the action (e.g. mining) like you did now too. Then your character starts working, until your character is overloaded, the source is empty, your tool is broken, your character moved or you are attacked. The speed you get the ressources with is related to your skill. While you are working this way you can still roleplay.
With the producing of final items (e.g. smithing) its slightly different. The amount of ressources increase alot. The different at this point is that you produce the items in steps. Each step requires only ressources of one type and each step takes a certin ( skill related ) time. In case your character has the ressources for the next step, the character automatically works on. But you don't have to finish a item at once. You can leave it unfinished ( its useless then ) and work on later.
All in all you need much more time, ressources and clicks ( if you don't carry all the ressources with you ) to make a item. But for every single step you can get a skill gain
That should be basically the same. But the items you can produce are better spreaded on the skill levels. So you don't learn 10 items at once, but for example with smithing you learn until level 60 at every skill gain a new item. After this at every second skillgain. I think thats much more motivatingMiklorius wrote:And what's about the learning curve/time?

Well, the answer to this would be quite simple.Calenleia wrote:whats about the things like baking.... if you want to use not all the "teig" for only one sort of things....
f.e. you want 10 breads.... 5 cakes.....
can you choose or will the "teig" just go away for one sort of things....
Nitram wrote:With the producing of final items (e.g. smithing) its slightly different.
