A very depressing problem!

Hey all, I cannot play the new illarion client, as it doesn't work (duh...). Anyways, i have downloaded the java and the offline installer, but everytime i go to play it (and, yes, i did click "play" on the home page), it comes up with a message saying "c:\Documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\Illarion client\Play.jnlp. The archive is either in unknown format or damaged" Yes, i have downloaded and re-tried downloading the client and java at least eight times each. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP?! I love illarion and am going insane without it!!!!!!!!!

Stupid question: You did download Java, did you also install it?

What appears when you hit start -> run -> javaws ?

Did you try this link: http://javaclient.illarion.org/illarion_client.jnlp ?

yes, i did! I installed it several times and when i clicked on that link, it came up with the same message!

ok, it works, but now all the buttons are gone and the character i half missing.i think i need to change the screen resolution. how???
