A small declaration

A short note is pinned to the board. It is written on good paper with a fine handwriting.

We, Ascius and Gwendolin, want to declare our affiance, which took place on the 17. Ushos, year 21.

May the goddess of earth look complaisantly on this bond and protect it - forever.

Gwendolin comes to the town board and smiles as she reads over the replies to their declaration. She laughs suddenly as she reads over Edwards message a second time and then writes underneath:

Thank you all for your congratulations.
And Edward: I don't worry. You don't even 'get' me in your dreams.
