I, Brian Bothach, hereby place my vote on Brer Beothach, my twice removed cousin of my father's father's friend's friend, who happens to be related to Brer's mom, who is related to me. Which means that in fact we are somehow connected. Therefore I carry the Beothachian name.

All Beothachs are from now on banned from the election aswell as from the town. Shall they enter the town while the election isnt over they are to be jailed until the election ends.

Their behaviour won't be tolerated.

Two friends with power and strength leading a town? This is at best laughable to put yourselves in such a position. Sounds like more a tyranny than what Mr. Valentine suggested. Samantha once told me her word was law. Do you the people of Troll's Bane agree? Perhaps the town needs a new Magistrate as well as governor?
She is supposed to uphold the law, though she seems to uphold her position as magistrate by oppressing any source of threat to her official stance.

Dear folks, dear citizens of Troll's Bane,

After the latest Governor's behaviour I must admit that I am glad to read about his retirement.
At the same time I regret the current confusing and chaotic way the discussions about a new governeur are going on.
Furthermore I have not read about a candidate who seems appropriate in my opinion for the position of a Governor, yet.

To bring back glory to Troll's Bane, to make it a respected and safe place, to confirm and strengthen the relation to other towns on Gobiath and to finally bring a stable government back to Troll's Bane after more than now nearly a whole year of struggling and weak leaderships, I hereby offer myself as candidate for the new Governor of Troll's Bane.

This is not the right place to discuss about what I will do and what I will change if I should be elected. When the time for nominations has ended, I will offer you my visions and plans. But be sure that it will be the right way to a glorious future.

To prevent any confusions about my current position. As Captain of the Town Guard, I state that I will resign from my position of Town Guard if I should be elected as Governor. Otherwise I will follow the new Governor's will in matters of who should be the new Captain of the Guard. Until then I will keep peace in town together with the current Guard and Magistrate.

May the Five be with us and may they hold their hands over fair elections,

As a citizen of Trolls Bane I would like to express my disapproval of the procedur the former governour is intending to pass on his charge.

Lance Dragonwill has not been elected by the citizens of Trolls Bane and therefor has no 'right' to step into the position he is aiming at, just because the underaged, resigning governour is saying so.

I hope the magistrate will as soon as possible summon another election.

We have now reached a new low. I left months back because I promised to return things to a democratic procedure, and I wasn't around that much. Looking at it now, I regret that decision, just take a look at what has occured the past months, and even just on this parchment. It is quite apparent the town needs more Fooser and less nonsense, and I happen to be able to provide such. The direction of the town is not working, so the logical response is that new approaches are needed.

So yes, I will try again (perhaps in vain) for governorship of Trollsbane. I had no intention of doing so again after I left, but the situation is so dire that I have changed my mind.

At the very least, I could promise that the town would get cleaned up, and your concerns won't go weeks and months without response. And already that is an upgrade.

Some points I'd like to try/do if chosen:
-Clean up the citizen list of inactive members, those that have left, or those that have moved elsewhere. Perhaps in extreme case, we could try a few ideas of a very limited dual-citizenship system.
-Fix the property situation, it seems to have gotten confusing and messed up since I left, and I could get it sorted in a very short amount of time. From there the property laws should be changed slightly, and perhaps try different ideas like building/property buying incentives.
-No taxation, it doesn't help as I know from experience.
-If elected I would support the current people in their given spots, though the Guardian spots need a second person I believe.

Those among many other things that could aid the town. No matter who is victorious, it is sure that things will be better than they have been, which is a positive start.

In the last month there was much confussion and also apathy on the part of the actual Governor Constantine Valentine. Failures were also in the handling of the Town Guard.

And now Mr. Valentine just resigned after achieving quite nothing for the town and wanted to appoint a successor... This is not correct!

Only Samantha Meryadeles and Siltaris seem to be active in the last time and made clear efforts to move Troll's bane forward.

Brer Beothach was once leader of the town, and although he was quite capable, he was weak and did not really bring progress to the city.
Fooser was also Governor once with much activity, but then he declared himself as King of Troll's Bane. And the he leaves.

So I vote for Siltaris as new Governor!

Indeed I agree elections must be held. The position of governor cannot be passed on; it is an elected position. I say good riddance to the old, and in with the new! Perhaps you should organise elections as soon as possible.

Then quote the law stating that the Governeur has to be a citizen. Besides, Baron Bottoms wrote that he would give up his position as mayor of Greenbriar if he was elected.
