after 4 hours of hardcore debugging i finally found out the problem for the crashes. The last server version was the one with the old interface so freezes can happen. now the new one is running again. hope longer than 2 hours.

ok my problem currently....
the server is crashing sometimes when a player logs out under special reasons. But i can't find out these special reason. So 20 times a player logs out nothing bad happens, the 21th time the server crashes.
Currently i have not the rights to run a debugger on the realserver. Hope alatar can give them soon. If the debugger is running the server will be very slow this time but if then the server crashes i can follow exactly the reason why the server is crashed and what functions have called befor. Currently i can only try different things. And so , i change something, bring the server back up again, see that this hasn't resolved the problem, change other things etc...

sighs I know everyone is trying to fix as fast as possible, but it's becoming quickly standard to see random chars logging off to save, and is greatly affecting RP.

after bombarding the testserver with massive logins and logouts and solving 5 possible Segfault reasons, "many thanks to Thorvald from me for helping with that

The server shutdown automatically saved char data. No logout was needed.

Though in any other case i would have said the same thing.
