I didn't read all this, but i think the main point about a punishment would be to stop people from going to the cross resurecting, and then attack the one who killed them once again. This can not be too hard to acomplish...
or to actually make them fear dead.

Samantha told Aeridor he will die if he doesnt stop being impudent. he continued, evemn after she casted a warning spell on him. he knew what will happen and ignored it. he than got flamed. 15 seconds later he came back from cross, and continued right where he stopped, mocking her on the same way.

Such behaviour is not better than comming back from cross and attacking again. such behaviour shows the lack of any fear of death, or even taking death something terrible.

Ahem.

Samantha receives death threats that look dangerous, she shows no fear and even mocks the senders.

A while ago, there was a case with Samantha running back from the cross and clouding some of the dangerous people.

But Samantha is also a powerfull person herself. She knows her strength andf the strength of those threatening her. she knows that it is wrong showing weakness to those. Samantha is not an average woman with average strength or power. She is one of the most powerfull ones on the isle.

So, yet again Patric starts flaming, very well:

The whole point in that scene was to get Samantha to flame him. He never thought she would try to kill him, but as she did, he would not make it all forfeit by not returning. So he crawled back, and held his speach.

This is just like when you called Jorokar and me idiots when we found Samantha, Retlak and Eirik that other day, and you killed Retlak. OOC, you blamed the fact that you killed him on us, and called us idiots.
Do not interfere in how others play their chars. Please.
As Jorokar said then, perhaps there was a reason why they came? See, as you always do this, you make us reveal things ooc, that I would be very naive to think does not interfere in you rp'ing. The same way that you are leting who your char dislikes ingame, interfere in who Patric likes ooc.

And for the record, Aerdior was clouded for the first, or perhaps seckond time that day. I say he fears death more than most.

Back on topic?

Hehe, I ment that he did not explain why she did. He only explained why she did not take the threats seriously.

It is unclear to me now, but once when bandits or something were causing havock in trolls bane, Samantha showed up. Her magic proved most useless against the good numbers (another reason why she should fear death) and she got clouded. Shortly after though samantha returned i believe, and clouded some bandits, because "it was not right to let trolls bane be beaten by evil". This was a very long time ago perhaps.

If i get anything wrong for reasons or whatever, pm me and flame me there, and i will edit this.

'No, it was when Ku'agor stood infront of her, made quick #me and attacked her. at that time 3 hits could kill any nonwarrior char without parry. and samantha was at cross and he followed her. i thought he may attack again, or try something else.

Yes, but that would be res killing, against the rules. So, that point seems pretty invalid.

So, nothing to say on my long post?

And what exactly is the diference betwen that and what you did with Aeridor? Not that i blame you, but please look at yourself once in a while. Excuse me... You cast like 4 spells on him in 2 seckonds and with, was it: #me reaches out her hands ?

Dont let the player regenerate health in some hours after a death.
Or the server could throw the player out for some hours. The char has probably fainted anyway, so he would not see or hear anything. let him relog in the hospital, wich would allow some nice rp'ing as well.

My opinion....

My char got two times killed from a just attacing someone, without course..... no Rp, nothing.... I agree with samantha, it would be very frustrating, because, I didn't want to die, my Char is still new on the Island and not very strong.... It seems to be unfair, for the new ones or not???

Such a death system I doubt would be implemented anyway, the only perma death I see in the future are those rped out with consent of the PO.

Sorry for going off topic..but this is a lie. Samantha had just killed Gort. Ku attacked her in response. Ku came to the cross with Gort's things...she clouded us both at the cross.

And Patric, if death is such a bad thing in your eyes in game, why do you think it is alright for your character to constantly kill? Or is she secretly a mas murderer?

EDIT: Or does she secretly want to be a mas murderer?

i meant bad for the char. someone who died shouldn't shake it off as if it is nothing, or means nothing. you misunderstood what i wanted to say.

For example, if you just got killed for insulting someone, you wont go back and do the same again.

And it is not murder when she defeats someone evil who tried to kill her several times in the past and is threatening her. or when she kills someone who attacks her, or attacks someone innocent. usually she just kills for protecting others.
or when some impudent elf really provoke it to be killed for his ongoing mocking.

Wrong. murder describes a crime. Someone who has to kill someone to protect someones other life is not murdering.

Also we live in a medievil environment. death penaltys for crimes and other stuff is nothing big in such a time. and it wont be murder.

even in the modern time there are different shapes of the crime "murder". like first degree murder, second degree murder, and such stuff.

Killing for some of the miniscule reasons Samantha kills for and other characters like her does not allow us to have a greater penalty for death system.

It is just as bad if not worse people let their characters kill for almost nothing now.

We have to, if warnings and punishemnts has no effect. stop ignoring lesser punishments and we wont be needed to kill you,.

Aeridor Isthil for example.

He mocks her first time, she casted a windblow shoving him away. he stodd up, ignored, and mocked her a second time. she casted a windblow, and blew him away. he stood up, ignored it and mocked her a third time. she cast a single flame onto him, which for sure took 1/3 of his lifenergy, and warned him again with the words the next time it will be really painfull if he doesnt stop. he shivered a bit for the flames, and mocked her the same way again.

it is than clearly your fault when you get killed after you ignored all the other warnings and punishments. you force us to do so.

What lesser punishments are you talking about? and my character you speak of has only died once in PvP, that was to you. No one else seems to have a problem with my character ig but Samantha. Stop posting such rubbish.

Now what Patric? I told you. He provoked that attack. He wanted it to happen, though he did not think she would try to kill him. Thank you for letting me spell it out for you. So Samantha can now kill him for a week ingame. I did not make a #me every time, because you throwed those blowmagic at him like he was a damn windmill.
Just like it is in Samanthas nature to kill somone for calling her Samantha, it is in Aeridor's nature to clench his teeth, and finish the job.

Could you not just read my first post? So we soon can get on topic again?
It is hilarious the way you frequently acuse somone for doing what you do yourself. Does the fact that you do it 3 times worse you imune to criticism?

You are far away from the topic and deeply in pretty heavy flaming session.

Get back to useful content or that topic lost its sense.

Another death system would be nice. Yes. I can think about some better way. Yes. BUT we need Developers for this. At least a few more, good ones. Do we have them? No. You can see the problem.

This is the General, that means informations which can be helpful for everyone.
But it's getting to descriptions of single chars. Therefore
