Ashayen walked slowly and with wrapped arms around her waist over the big meadow. Her wettish, pitch-black hair blew in the light wind while her look traveled thoughtfully about the surroundings and every now and then an amused smile playing over her lips. She suddenly stopped as her gaze fell on a trunk, slowly walked over and took a seat, the arms still wrapped around her waist. She leant forward and stared down at the green grass, nibbling on her bottom lip. She sighed quietly and grimaces dissatisfied .
" Was it right what i have done!? " this was the question she was thinking about all the time, after 'their' ways separated. She had to admit that she did not rue what happened, but a "toy"!?
" By the gods, Ashayen what is wrong with you. Seldom you have felt the feeling of on both sides love and now you sink so deeply and stoop to it with pleasure? Awake, girl ... finally awake! "
After she spoke with Marlos and promising to think about the future, she seemed to go through a change. She not even really thought in it to think about the future ... with him, rather she enjoyed it be free and to be alone. Without thinking about his feelings.
What a dishonor...
She tilted her head, looking to the distant outlines of the townwalls. The wind ruffled her almost quite dry hair and the grey-blue eyes gleamed sadly. She raises her voice to a quiet whisper: " Is that all what my life can offer me? To be a "toy"... . Did she have to be careful about her reputation, like Edward had recommended it warmly to her?"
She shaked her head, slowly and gazed back at the grass, now with an amused glint in her eyes.

Edward couldn't help but to chuckle as he saw the smug grin on his lips, reflected from the surface of Lake Adron. He liked Ashayen, he had to admit that to himself. The girl was always willing to drink with him, good company, playful.. Yet she was nothing but more or less innoncent fun for him. She seemed to enjoy his company, which suited him more than well due to her interesting nature. He stopped for a moment and twiddled the razorblad with his fingers.
"I always knew that the men of this island were bunch of spineless morons, but to let a lass like her go uncourted? Tzt!,,
It was suprising that Ashayen had not found a proper suitor for herself, especially so considering how gracious young woman she was. Maybe she had found a potential candidate for herself? Aye. She had mentioned something, quite vaguely.. With Edward only getting the picture that she was not too interested. Unsupirsing considering what a prepubescant idiot the average 'man' on the island was. Not that Edward really cared either way about her having someone or not. As long as she was willing to play the game with him..
He folded the razorblade inside the handle and ran a finger along his smooth, freshly shaved chin. Sadly for her, she seemed only to attract the wrong kind of men. Plain idiots like that oxygen-deprived page of Kallahorn and adventurers like..

"What a disappointment" she murmured as she left the tavern and went through the town, aimlessly. She trembled lightly and her cheeks were reddened of rage. She put the hands in the pockets of her coat while her steps brought her slowly out of the town. The right hand touched the parchment, which was placed in the pocket of her coat ... a letter which she had received from Magnus ... she crumpled the letter up with a disappointed expression upon her face and held him firmly surrounded in the hand. Whether it was the disappointment because of him or the disappointment of herself... she didn't knew it. But it was incomprehensibly to her that she was not clever enough to see that she was just a Flirt for him. She had at least hoped that he was interested in her sentimental value with an honestly heart ... but, no. The picture which she had of him was destroyed on a blow.
Finally she sat down at the Troll's Vane, her cheeks were still reddened and she couldn't resist to have a look over her shoulder, gazing towards the townwalls. Her grey-blue eyes gleamed glassy and she breathed in deeply, as she turned her head to look at the glittering surface of the river.
"Oh Edward, I knew that you are a bad man, but that you are able to go through these world with such a cold heart ... that's what i've never supposed, never." she sighed deeply and layed back, in the grass, on her back. Now, she pulled out her hands from the pockets of her coat, releasing the letter and laid them calmy on her abdominal wall. The grey-blue eyes stared from under the black bangs up into the sky.
"At least ... 'you' have shown me what excactly i am for you. Maybe you backbite even behind my back!? Oh by the gods what have i done ... how naively I am!?" she turned on the side and blinked keenly, the rosy tone on her cheeks had disappeared, but ... as she closed her eyes she couldn't suppress the hot tears which run down her cheeks now. Tears of the rage, the disappointment, the hatred ... about herself.

As Ashayen walked away from the tavern, a single word was present in his mind for a brief moment.
"Damn"
Edward had made a bad mistake, and he knew it. Emotions of other people, especially such as sadness, were always so difficult for him to deal with. Especially with women. He had tried to be funny as usual, but his reaction only made him seem insensitive and uninterested. He didn't want to see her sad, but his response had just been so.. wrong.
What should he do? In the old times, before.. Aleytys, he would have shrugged it off and travelled to another place, quickly forgetting about any hurt girl. He didn't love Ashayen, hah.. but still. He was getting softer.
"You apparently didn't believe what I said, little Ashie.. I wasn't lying.. I am not completely heartless.."
He wrinkled his nose annoyedly and ran a hand through his hair.
"For whatever it is worth, Ashayen. You are a kind lass, and I owe you an apology.."
Bad thing was that he wasn't too good with apologies either.

Marlos smiled lightly as he stood on the ferry..
"The first time I leave that Isle...not only to travel over to Vanima.."
The hands folded in his neck he walked slowly arround the deck looking into the water, observing the crew doing their work or just breathing in the salty air with closed eyes while the wind strokes through his short, black hair.
His mind was totally filled with her..memories of the time they spent together, the talks over nearly everything or just with the picture of her.
How long would it take to "forget" her? Marlos didn't know it as he sat down on a little bench near the rail. Dark and sad were his brown eyes when he left Trolls Bane but later after much inhailed fresh air they became more and more vital again though the old, constant happy light was still missing.
It was already night when he finally decided to get some hours of sleep as suddenly someone asked carefully:
"Excuse me...would you mind when I take a seat..?"
He blinked astonished of the fact to meet someone else beside the members of the crew. "No..no, sit down if you want to." He tried to offer her a smile but as he examined her more attentively with his gaze his eyes widened.
Long, black hair, sparkeling grey-green eyes and a softly white skinned face with blushed cheeks.
"Thank you." , she said very shy.
He nods and his gaze got trapped by the instrument she carried with her.
"A lute..." , he said unconsciously. She smiled and nods like he did before.
And only a few minutes later their quiet voices were all that disturbed the silence of night until the sun rised.

He did it, yes, he really apologised and internally she had to laugh as he stood right before her visibly embarrassed and feeling uncomfortable. And still, she was not able to believe in his words, he is so hard to estimate. His words, are so hard to estimate. One never knew when his words were meant really seriously. They only thing she hoped was that she was not too naive again, in 'this' moment her hope was that he just spoke the truth and therefore she accepted his apologize.
Ashayen wiped the snow of the trunk and took a seat, at the fields of Troll Bane. She snuggled herself in her black coat and looked with a tender smile, at the glittering snow until she sighed saddened.
So much had changed, since Marlos ... went. She was so sorry for him, but she was not able to give him that what he was looking for. Nowadays the events of the loss piled up. The worst thing was as her father died. Sometimes she wished she had friend ... . A friend who is always there for her. She knows that she found someone already and still she let him go. It hurt...
She knew that she was not alone. She knew many people. But she had to admit these were primarily men.
Her pale face grimaced lightly, disappointment spoke from her eyes and also sadness. She was not a person who could handle with such soul pain. But well ... it appeared her "beauty" was a burden ... and with that burden she must start to live.
Ashayen took a deep breath and the usual glitter in her eyes returned when she brushed the snow of the coat and stood up. " It is time to begin that day ... "

" You are such a fool Santander " this was in his thoughts as Ashayen leaves him.
A smile appears upon his lips and his green eyes gazes over the snow. " She is so graceful and fragile and you losing your manner " He grumbles slightly annoyed to himself.
His wish to come closer to her, to find also a friend, maybe more, seems to gone far away. But her presence was so intoxicated, never he had felt this before for a woman.
And his Situation not a happily one, he had nothing. Maybe she needs a man who can give her coins and diamonds, worthily of her beauty.
He sighs again deeply in thoughts, the snow reflecting in his green eyes, he rubs over the tattoo on his cheek and murmurs :
" Ashayen forgive me that I don't resist your beauty and enchanting presence "

"Good girl"
Edward grinned amusedly as he saw Ashayen, little Ashie, holding hands with a strange man in the tavern. His grin grew even broader as the two walked out of the tavern together.
"I hope that the lad treats you well, Ashayen.. otherwise I might have to 'discuss' with him about that.."
A breeze of cold air came in from the door as they went, but Edward and he blinked to his own thoughts. He moved to the fireplace, and the grin slowly disappeared from his lips. He stared thoughtfully into the fire, puzzled by the suprising thoughts. Why did he care either way? Did he even care? He hid a displeased grimace behind a goblet of wine and after pondering for a while, nodded slightly to himself.
"Maybe I was serious when I said so, little Ashie.. Maybe we are indeed friends, you and I.."

Ashayens cheeks were colored in the deepest red. Her steps were fast and her slightly open coat blew in the light wind. That was too much for her. Why has he kissed her? She hardly knew him. She also had no feelings for him. He was not the man after she was looking for. Well, she was not also on the search, but, nevertheless, he was not the man who could conquer her heart. He was nice, yes, but his manners...
Ashayen grimaced and sighed deeply as she stopped. She run a hand through her deep black hair and blinked several times. Her heart beat fast whether of all excitement and fury.
She even tried to walk 'alone' out of the tavern, particularly Edward was present. She could imagine how entertainingly he had to find the whole scene, that's why she appreciate no gaze at him. She felt very uncomfortable and it was not incomprehensible to her why she didn't gave a damn about Edwards reaction.
She shrugged and slowly went on, lightly confused. " Oh, Santander this was the biggest mistake you could do. You are so ruthless. Not only in your activities, but also with the words. You should work on it. And why the ... " she curses and her steps becomes faster "Damn ... Edward."

It could have become such a nice day, but no. Everything was getting worser. Now she layed in the bed, with a plaster on her forehead, a bandage around one hand and a bandage around her neck. She seemed to be the perfect victim for the thieves, already the second was is it now. And that all because of a coat, some sausages and a dagger...
Ashayen rolled herself from one side to the other in her bed. She looked pale, very pale. The shock seemed to be still deep inside her. Her deep black hair gleamed wet from the sweat and also from the blood. She had to whine every now and then and sometimes she moved her unwounded hand to her cheeks to brush away some tears. Everything hurt and her gaze traveled more often towards the door, with a wishfully glint in her grey-blue eyes. Thereby she knew that there is nobody who would visit her and that hurt even more. She blinked keenly and turned herself to the side, looking now at the cold, grey Hospitalwall. "Maybe i ... should go to somewhere ... else? I have no luck ... no luck in anything and ... nobody would miss me, or?" She sighed exhausted and closed her eyes, murmuring some quiet words "Maybe ... maybe."

A cold airflow blew through Ashayens deep black hair and left a cold shudder on her skin. Slowly she opened her eyes and blinked several times, her forehead with the plaster leant against his breast. A still sleepy but satisfied smile played over her lips as she lifted her head, slowly and carefully to look into his face. Quite quietly he lay there and enjoyed the sleep. His cheeks were reddened due to the cold and she smirked slightly. She rose a little bit and supported herself with an elbow on the cold ground. She leant her shivering body forward with a gentle smile on her lips and kissed him gently on his cold cheek, carefully about not to wake him up. She looked into his face and spoke with a lovely and quiet voice " I'm glad that i've met you and ... bit by bit I believe your words. " With a sigh she removed her head and stroked over his cheek, before she rose slowly, again carefully about not to wake him up. As she stand she wiped over the wet coat and grimaced lightly annoyed. She wrapped the coat tighter around her slender body and ran a shivering hand through the long hair as she gazed down at the sleeping Edward. A delighted smile played over her lips before she turned around and slowly started to tramp through the snow, cursing because of the burning wounds. Her steps became slower after some time and her expression more pensive. Suddenly she had to remember the conversation with Magnus ... and after a while she had to smirk, with an amused glitter in her grey-blue eyes.

He was woken up by the sound of slowly distancing rustle of snow. Edward didn't have to open his eyes to know that she had gone. He could no longer feel her warmth next to him. The coldness that radiated from the ground sent shivers through his body and after a while of fruitlessly trying to catch sleep again, he reluctantly forced himself to sit up. It was still quite dark. He reached for the bottle of wine laying in his backpack, opening it up and drinking thirstily. As the warming liquid poured down his throat, he slowly began to run through his thoughts and.. feelings.
The worry. Learning that Ashayen, his little Ashie, had been injured sent shivers through his spine. He had ran through the entire city, looking for her, to see that she was alright. After finding her to his relief, he had played down his worry to her and belittled his caring gesture. He feared that his words and eyes had betrayed him to her. He cared for her. She really had become something like a friend to him.
He climbed slowly up, stretched his arms and begun to gather his things from the ground. It did not take long before Edward was ready to go. He had some matters to take care of in the town - the elf.
"Pray to your pitiful god that our paths do not cross, you sniveling little thief.. I'll be squeezing more than an apology out of your wretched body if we meet!"
He wiped some snowflakes from the edge of his hat and chuckled quietly to himself. The men of this island should be careful with Ashayen now. He would not take lightly any more of that kind of behaviour toward his little Ashie. No, his friend deserved better..
"It changes nothing, little Ashie.."
The fresh morning snow creaked under his boots as he slowly marched toward the city. Yes, it was going to be a beautiful day indeed.

Siljana goes into the shop, looking around if anyone is there. After she recognize, that she is alone there, she hangs a pergament on the borad. On it you can read:
My friend Ash, take care of yourself! This is something for you...
About him
His words hall into your ears,
His breath glides over your skin,
Your thoughts are just with him,
His picture is still in your head,
But it remains a sweet sin.
His touch obsesses you,
His absence scares you,
His words hurt you,
His gaze seduces you,
But it remains a sweet sin.
You don’t love him,
But he belongs to you.
You are just friends,
But you belong to him,
And it stills remain a sweet sin.
Your friend.....Siljana

When Ashayen came back after the long trip from Briar to Bane, the first way led her in the shop to unload her bag. She gasped quietly and wiped over her tired eyes before she looked around and nodded briefly towards Eliza. She went over to the board then in search of some news. She had to blink as she noticed a known name at the bottom of a parchment which was pinned there. "Siljana ... haven't you seen since a while." She twitched with her shoulders, shoved some Parchments aside which covered the Note of Siljana and started reading, curiously. First she lifted an eyebrow when she read her own name, then the other eyebrow as she readed on. " By the gods ... " Ashayen had to gasp a few times and shaked her head. In a great hurry she plucked the parchment from the board and stored it into her bag, with reddened cheeks and a quietly murmur to herself " Mh, hopefully not many people have read your lines yet ... oh Siljana! Damn ... from where do you know that... " She wrinkled her forehead and blinked several times, before she wrapped her black coat tighter around her body. She could feel her fast heartbeat due to the poem and closed her eyes for a moment to take a deep breath. Then she walked out of the shop with quick steps over and over again she murmured to herself with a slight desperately voice "Oh please, by the gods .... hopefully 'he' did not read it!? ... oh ... oh, i can hear him laughing yet ... and all the others maybe too?

One day later, Siljana walks into the shop to have a look after a pergament with her name on it. She searchs and searchs, but there is nothing to find. With a smile on her face, she sits down on a chair and crosses her legs. She looks to Eliza, asking her, if she have seen a beautiful young woman, black hair, black coat and dark eyes, who takes a pergament of the board.
-Yesssss, there wassss a woman here. She seemsssss be at a losssssss of wordsssss, after reading the pergament.-
Siljana raises a brow and begins to consider about it. Suddenly she blushes and lays her hand on her mouth. -By the gods, I'm so sorry Ash. I have seen you days ago with a man, too old for you and I saw your gaze, but I didn't remember that HE was the man next to you-
Siljana stands up and walks out of the door. Her thoughts are still at Ash and her situtaion.

As Edward walked into the shop a couple days before, finding a poem like this was not what he had expected. It looked like somebody had just pinned it on the wall, with the piece of parchment standing out from the wall like a candle in the night. His lips curled to a small grin as he read the parchment again, and he had to chuckle to himself.
"Poor Ashayen, some cruel friends you have.."
He extended his hand toward the note, placing his fingers on the needle that was holding it on the wall. Just as Edward was about to pluck the note away, he hesitated for a moment and slowly withdrew his hand. A playful grin appeared on his lips as he begun to stroke over his chin with his other hand.
"Then again, little Ashie.. I can almost see your cheeks getting red as you read this poem. My beautiful friend, I'm not sure I want you to miss this.."
He gave an amused grin to Eliza, before turning around and walking out of the shop with haste. As he walked away, he quietly muttered to himself with an equally amused voice:
"Siljana, I better remember that name.."

She hoped so much not to meet him, but the luck seemed not to be on her side then so she almost already ran him in the arms. And what did she do? Instead of talking with him and to salve her conscience ... she blushed and 'ran' away...
What a luck that Magnus crossed her ways and took her to a calm place. Strangely she seemed to like him. His warmhearted kind was good for her and he also seemed not to avoid her presence.
Ashayen had to smile as she thought about he conversation with him. It was embarrassing, oh yes, but it was good for her and thus she leaved him more motivated, in search of Edward.
But everything changed as she crossed the way of Aleytys. With a frustrated expression upon her face she moved further. She sauntered through the shop towards the street. She had to blink as some snowflakes touched the warm skin of her face and she started to shiver as they melted.
"Humph, why did Aleytys had to tell her that she is not jealous. We had not talked about 'him'. Maybe she was it!?"
Ashayen had to grin and her grey-blue eyes twinkled briefly from under the thick deep black hair. But so fast the grin on her lips appeared, so fast it also disappeared again and she sighed deeply as she suddenly stopped.
"He waits for me, Ashayen." these were the words that changed everything and they were still in her thoughts. She grimaced and shoved a cold hand in the pocket of her coat to pull out a parchment. Once again she read the poem, every now and then with a weak smile, before she crumpled it up and threw it against the hedge of the workshop.
"It does not seem to interest you ... 'me' also no more."
She went on slowly, put her hands in the pockets of her coat and snuggled up in her black coat. Her deep black hair which was covered with some snowflakes glittered as she trudged by the snow. With a quiet sighing she walked through the night "... but it remains a sweet sin ..."

Ashayen rumbled down the ladder of the library. A feeling of disgust overwhelmed her body. She could feel a warm and cold shudder which crawled over her back and she was just thinking "Out of here..." It was a feeling like running against an ice wall as she stepped out of the house ... the cold wintery air burnt in her lung and she reeled wheezy around the house corner ... to vomit. "What have you done with him?" Her forehead was covered by sweat pearls and she went further, with weak steps.
She wanted to hear the truth. She wanted to know 'what' happened exactly with the elf. She also knew that she wouldn't hear these words from Edward. She looked with an entreating gaze at Aleytys and she agreed, she took her to a room in the library and talked. Aleytys was carefully with her words and avoided it to tell more details, but ... she revealed more than Edward.
Ashayen collapsed in the snow in the middle of a meadow, powerlessly and with pale complexion. She knew nobody who would avenged her ... for the pain somebody did to her. And still, her wounds, caused by the elf, were not life-threatening.
She liked Edward, she liked him very much, maybe it was also a feeling of love. No ... no, the love to a 'friend' ... who had many faces. And so, before she met Aleytys he surprised her in the library with a dance. With a dance to raise her mood ... and he made a good job. For the small moment, in his arms, she was feeling better.
Just the thought of it brought her again a sick feeling in her stomach and so she wiped with a fistfull snow over her face to become clearly in the head.
There was always a certain allure with these whole rogues on this island which she wouldn't like to miss. But such a violence ... she had never seen or heard something like that. Gobiath was different, a different world like in her small fisher village. There she had friends as well but these were harmless boys.
All that was so new for her and it complicated her heart to accept, to love, to understand, to forget ... and maybe even to go an other way.
She inhaled deeply, her black trousers were wet from the snow as she rose and she still staggered a bit. "I must find Magnus ..."

Ashayen leaves the room in haste, very pale.
Aleytys shrugs her small shoulders and looks still a bit annoyed in the chimney.
Damn, Ed... you should not tell only half of the truth. This little Lady goes insane and sick with that This was a big mistake my dear, I fear you lost a friend.
She liked Ashayen, her shyness and her slightly blushing cheeks. And she had hesitated to tell her more about this encounter with this perverted Elf.
But she deserves the truth if she asked.
Aleytys standing up slowly, shaking her head again with a sigh and leaving then the Library as well.

First Meriel, now you.. I am losing my friends fast.
He had tortured the elf, and to make thing worse he knew that if put into the same situation there would be nothing he would do differently. Edward sighed and ran a hand through his brown hair. His methods might have been less than satisfactory, but for once, his motivations had been good at heart. Maybe the elf would have gained nothing but bruises at first.. but then he had attacked Aleytys. The rage and thirst of vengeance clouded his mind even after the foe had been struck down. He felt nothing but cold satisfaction as he beat and kicked the wounded Assassin who was laying on the ground. The bastard just kept smiling, even when Edward twisted the blade in his wound with all his strength. Edward would have cut his head off for sure, should Duchan not have interfered. What is done stays done, no turning back now.
Still ..To his suprise, he felt more sad and disappointed by the reaction of Ashayen than he had expected. Ashayen was the one who he had avenged for.. and to hear of such reaction made him feel so empty.
He could be good friend.. Maybe.. But she would have to accept him the way he was. She could not get Prince Charming without the Cold hearted bastard. They were like two different sides of the same coin.
Little Ashie, we need to talk.. then you make your decision. I never claimed to you that I was a nice man.. on the contrary.. But still, I never had any conditions for my friendship..
Edward stared thoughtfully to the Horizon for a moment, before slowly turning around and marching toward Trollsbane.

Santander standing on the Tower, leaning on the battlements.
The hint had lead him to nothing, again. The old woman, maybe she spoke the truth, but all what he found in the mountains was bandits and wolves.
Exhausted and tired how he was, appears a smile on his lips, though.
" I hope I can see you Ashayen and I hope you accept my apologize "

Ashayen sat in the tavern, with a goblet full of wine in one hand. She let her gaze travel over the attenders with a slight bored expression upon her face. "Where is just the fun in here!?" Finally, the last days were good for her. No conflicts with Edward. She met a lot of new people and then there was Alexander... who demands to speak with her ... and still, something was absent. She raised the goblet to her lips and drank it empty with large gulps. She placed the goblet with a sighing upon the table and rose with a slight smirk. "It is time, sweetheart ..."
Ashayen shoved the snow of one of the trunks on the marketplace and sat down with a tender smile on her lips. The sun just rose, she was tired, but with her excitement she could not sleep yet. She came just from the tavern after a very pleasant conversation with a man, called Dante. She felt comfortable in his company because of his quiet and peaceful aura ... though, a pity that he was so quite differently as Ashayen, but still an interesting man.
She reached for her bag, placed it on her lap and stared for a short moment at it, before she opened it and pulled out a pile of slips of paper. A light smile played over her lips when she glided with the fingers over the letters on the parchments. "As it seems, nevertheless, it was right to stay here."
She easily leant forward, supported her elbows on the knees and started to read. It seems that she must had read the slips of paper several times, because they were crumpled a bit. Every now and then she had to grin as she read and then again she looked thoughtfully at the slips of paper. "Whether I am able to do this really. I and actress. Oh Alexander I really hope that this goes all well. But ... " she wandered with her thoughtfully gaze to the fire till she looked back at the parchments with a determined smile upon her lips and her grey-blue eyes sparkled somehow happily. "... I will do everything, so that it becomes no Disaster. In addition, it seems a good practise for me." Suddenly she blinked, rolled up the slips of paper and stored them back into her bag. Her look fell questioningly at Morgan accompanied by a charmingly smile " Mh, you have not seen Magnus probably even today, or?" ... "... he must help me"

Ashayen was still standing in the room of the library. Her grey-blue eyes stared sadly at the door where he walked out. She started to think about their discussion. She didn't want to hurt him, but it seemed she truely hit a sensitive spot with her words. That wasn't her intent ... it was the first time that she saw him not grinning, in the contrary, his gaze was lowered down to the floor and he let her feel that 'her' words were like some stitches right into his heart.
Some days ago she had a talk with Dante where she announced that she have to talk with a friend, but she feeled that these step wouldn't be easy for her to go.
And now...
She wished she have had the chance to speak with him to another time ... and not in 'this' moment ... not in this moment where he said that he had to go for some weeks.
Ashayen blinked and swallowed hard, before turning around slowly, showing the door her back and still staying in the middle of the room... alone.
He truely become one of the most important friends she have. She didn't know how much she liked him, but today she realised it and a feeling of kicking something overcomed her when thinking back and realising that she disappointed him.
Ashayen sighed deeply and stepped slowly to one of windows, leaning with her left shoulder against the frame and looking out at the snow-covered landscape.
She opened her mouth and with a quiet and sad voice she whispered to herself "I hope that you will forgive me my rude words. But the most important thing is that you come back to you friends ... to your 'beloved', Edward. I'll miss you."
Some more words followed, but her voice softens the more she was bringing the sentence to an end.
She inhaled deeply, before resting the forehead at the frame of the window, sighing. She closed her glassy grey-blue eyes and a single tear runned over one of the lightly reddened cheeks. "Just come ... back!"

Ashayen had to smile as she closed her tired eyes. She could feel like the cold slowly crawled under her black coat, though her legs were outstretched towards the warm fire. Normally this would be a reason to change the place, even if it would have ended to spend the night in a calm corner of the tavern. But today...
Ashayen took a deep breath, she breathed the strange smell of the man deeply in. The man who kept her in the arms and on whose shoulder she had leant her head. And that was the reason why she was content to the cold , she wanted to be close to him.
She didn't know why, but from the beginning this man, named Cawdor, was indeed very interesting for her.
Ashayen smirked lightly as she remembered how he presented his apple pie to her. It was dearest.
But it was a pity that an Orc took the pie and ate the pie up before their both eyes. Still she came to the pleasure of this lusciousness and this was not exaggerated. He was a noble and very friendly man and somehow she was surprised about his behaviour. Because he said he would own some land in Briar ... and that's why he deserves to be cooked for. But it seemed he had fun and that's the main thing.
Ashayen shruged lightly at this thought and snuggled up a little closer to him. Rarely she had found the trust in somebody that fast ... but she liked it...
Bit by bit her breath became quieter and after some time she fell asleep, with still quite a lot of other thoughts and a tender smile upon her lips.

Bit by bit her breath became quieter and after some time she fell asleep, with still quite a lot of other thoughts and a tender smile upon her lips.
Ashayen's steps were quick, her gaze spoke of disappointment and sadness. As she arrived the trunks at the campfire by the fields, she sat down without brushing the snow of the trunk. She sighed deeply, buried the face in her hands and started to shake her head, stunned.
"... what happened..."
It was still incomprehensible for her why he rejected her so heartlessly. She didn't know him that way, on the contrary he had already become dear to her, in this short time. However, she should have been mistaken so.
It hurt in her heart to know that he went now back to Briar. She would not follow him, not after this happening. He showed that he was not willing to talk about it and so it shall be then, though it will become extremely difficult for her.
Everything that were so dear to her, seems to avoid her recently ... first Edward and now Cawdor.
Ashayen rubbed her cold hands together, raised her gaze and her grey-blue eyes began to stare sadly into the dancing flames of the campfire.
"Just ... why!?"

"Just ... why!?"
Ashayen spent the whole day at the fields. Again and again she planted carrots, only to watch them with pleasure when the ample and colorful harvest broke down in itself and left nothing more than the grey, bleakly seeds.
It reflected her sentimental value.
Shattered within a moment.
Cause: a man.
Ashayen grimaced disappointed as she followed the street with lowered face. But this disappointment is not only his cause, also the cause of herself. It makes everything even harder when one think they would know the person, feeling some trust. It was the second time to feel such a pain, caused by a person she really like ... even love!?
Ashayen had to smirk about her thoughts and shaked her head. "Nah, that can't be. I was an amusement, nothing more."
She hated herself for her naivety, always trying to see the good in a person.
Bit by bit she understood that Gobiath was a different world than the small fisher village she knew and where she grew up. And often enough she was thinking about to go back. But for what? Why should she flee? This wouldn't make her stronger ... if possible she would even regret it.
Finally she had to admit to herself that she found the different mysterious Auras of certain people very appealing and interesting. Already as a child she often sneaked into the tavern of her village, observed the bustle, the sailors and the fishermen... the sealmen. She liked their harsh, unselfish kind because it has amused herself very much as a child, but she avoided it to cross the way of these men, first because her parents forbidden it and secondly ... she simply was afraid.
Ashayen rolled her eyes, annoyed when thinking back about it and started to shake her head. She stopped, directly before a bridge and tilted her head just a little to her right. The grey-blue eyes were narrowed and sparkled in the moonlight resolutely and arrogating as she looked over the land which she was going to enter ... looking for 'him'. She was thinking about the little chat which she had with the lady she met at the fields and began to smile, egotistic... then she lifted her chin in a haughty and hurt manner "You owe me a pronunciation, Mister Cawdor!" that were her words, before they were carried away in the wind and fallen silent as she went on, directly over the bridge towards Caelum.

The sun stood high in the sky and the warm sunbeams shone through the branches of the tree, under which she found the peace some hours ago.
The sunbeams warmed up her tender face and suddenly she shuddered. Ashayen was already awake since a while, but she was still laying on the ground and the more the sun was warming up her face the more she felt uncomfotable due to the cold which crawled out of the ground.
Ashayen brought herself in a sitting-position, stretched her arms and combed her deep black hair with the help of her fingers.
She took a brief look to her right and stoop up then very slow and quietly. She walked to the near river, kneeled down and washed her face and her hands.
The face glittered moist as she came back to the trees. Her grey-blue eyes sparkled warm and in love as she let her gaze travel over the body of the man who slept right next to her. She sat down on her knees, tilted the head and observed his calm sleep with a dreamy smile upon her face. She could feel the fast heartbeat the more she was looking at him.
She sat in this position a little while, silently till a light smirk appeared upon her face. "Oh hun, you can't imagine how much you mean to me. I couldn't get enough of you since the first moment in Trolls Bane, in the Shop. I've never felt such deep feelings before, my love. You are something special to me ... you truely are 'unique'."
Slowly she leant forward, stroked her hair aside and looked into his face. She stroked a strand of black hair out of his pale face, carefully and kissed him softly on his cheek. Ashayen spoke with a lovely voice "I love you, Darling!" ... and stood up, slowly.
After she gazed towards Bane, her smooth facial features were hardened. She hated this place so much, lately. All the violence ... all the crime ... all the 'thiefs'.
She sighed lightly and went.
Once, she looked over her shoulder, with a warm gaze as she rested her eyes on the dark shadow under the tree ... Cawdor.
Just as she entered the westgate and followed the street to the shop, a young boy stood right next to her, looking up and grinning.
"You are Miss Ashayen, aren't you?"
Ashayen nodded a little and looked down to him with curiosity. "The sailor gave me a copper to deliver you this..."
After that, he handed her a letter and disappeared as quickly as he came. Ashayen looked around, lightly surprised and sat down on the log at the fireplace, next to Morgan.
She opened the letter, nervously and began to wonder about the spidery handwriting, but not long and she had to smirk as she read the name of the writer.
"Your friend Edward." She sighed in relief. Relief about the sign he gave. It felt good to read the lines and to know that he is alright, because she thought about him in the last days, very often.
She stored the letter in the bag of her black coat with a satisfied smile. She leant her head back and looked into the sky with narrowed eyes due to the sun, the she spoke very quietly "I hope that you and Aleytys will come back very soon and hopefully healthy. I'm with you, my friend." ... before she stood up and went over to the tavern.

Ashayen steps slowed down when she passed th fields outside of Trolls Bane. She stopped and turned her head, looking over her shoulder to the townwalls with her grey-blue eyes. Her lips escaped a quiet sigh when she lowered her gaze down at the field... her former workplace.
She begun to stare in a thoughtful manner and rises a hand, to run it through the blackness of her long hair, before she looked back ahead with a small smile upon her lips. She spoke to herself with a lowered voice and even an unsure undertone in there as she moved on towards the east-gate of Trolls Bane. "Never thought that i will do it..."
She knew that she wouldn't regret anything ... with him on her side. Nevertheless, the arguments accumulates in the last days..
When thinking back, she had to sigh a little, sorrowful and somehow doubtfully.
Ashayen stopped again and tilted the head to the left, staring to the big gates of the east tower. She took a deep breath and turned slowly to enter it. Her steps became faster because she was starting to hate this town and she don't wanted to be longer then necessary at this place, but nevertheless she came quite often to just 'one' place of the town. The tavern, the meeting place for him and her.
It took not long till she placed one hand on the doorknob of the taverndoor to push it down, she entered the tavern with an relieved sigh after she closes the door right behind her.
With wuick steps and without looking around she was walking to the seats in her favorite corner, where she sat very often ... alone or with him.
She tilted the head and looked to the free seat right next to her as she leaned back in her chair. Her lips formed a soft smile when thinking about the good times with her Love and even about the good times which may follow ... but she started to blink abruptly when realizing that she made a big mistake... or not!?
She closed the tired eyes and bit her lower lip, gently "Oh, Ashie, you are so dumb. Now you feel remorseful, eh? Stupid little girl you are. You should learn to think about your actions before doing them..."
She shook her head a little and took a deep breath, before muttering to herself quietly "I know what i do, even if it is meant to be a new phase in my life and even if it is my ruin. It was a mistake, yes. But i can't change it now and ... even if i could... i wouldn't?"
She shook her head again, several times and leaned her head back then, still with her closed eyes. "Damn, maybe i should ... just ask him ... to escape from all these things?!"

Edward watched Ashayen's back as she walked out of the tavern. He shook his head with disbelief, cursed and leaned against the wall. He cursed again while spitting on the floor.
"Women, by the gods! Treat them like shite and they are sold. Try to be friendly and nice.. and they get upset like that!"
With a simple movement of his fingers he uncorked a bottle of wine in his hand and drained the remaining red liquid from it. He glanced angrily at Ashayen's empty goblet on the table and swept it aways with a forceful swing of the bottle, sending them both flying across the room. He pushed his body away from the wall and marched to the door, kicking stools over on his way.
He slammed the door shut behind him and snarled. Strange thoughts were echoing in his mind and he closed his eyes.
"Friendships.. Grahh! You try to behave for once with a woman and this is what follows? Maybe you simply aren't made for having friends, Edward.. "
He grimaced as he noticed his fingers being clenched around the handle of his sword in anger. He slowly released his grip from the handle and sighed powerlessly, leaning against the door behind him. He whispered with unaudible voice.
"..But can I stop caring about her? Do I even want to do that?.. We are friends.. or I at least think so.. "
His fingers clenched around the handle of the sword again and he headed out of the gate, giving everyone along the way a hateful gaze. It was time to vent off some steam. Time to bleed something and be bled yourself in return.
