Hello, im new to Illarion and have just submitted my email to the accounts inbox. not even sure if i will be accepted as i had to send two because i didnt read the fourm on how to send it in.
well anyways, i see a large part of this forum is posted in german. i dont really speak german so im wondering if that would stop me from roleplaying in the game? im excited about the way this game is set up with actual RPing instead of just hacking and slashing pointless monsters for a *level*, the anticipation is already killing.
also, should i try to keep away from dialect for certain races?
for instance an Ork might say:
"'EY! HOW IT GO? YOU COME BASH WIFF ORK?"
or a dwarf might say:
"'ello! 'ows 'bout an ale, brudda?"
This is how i would precieve a dwarf or ork to talk, but i understand that alot of people here might not be too good at english... so would this just horribly confuse people? lol
Language?

thanks for all the help everyone. sent in my secondary app today and cant wait for the reply.
can you guys give me some help on how to set up my stats? For instance, can a warrior learn magic? i.e. is it a good idea to give a warrior caste guy decent intelligence?
thats an awesome signature Salathe, did you draw that yourself?

The ability to cast magic depends highly on the intelligence of your character. In theory, every char can learn everything. However, a warrior character with a medium intelligence will only be able to cast a handful of low level spells.
This is a change that was introduced some time ago but never found it's way into the manuals.
Edit:
However, dwarves are said to hate magic. There are already a few dwarven mages in Illarion, but this shouldn't be the too usual.
