After many months of medical attention Jeanette's lung disease got worse. Her being sick, having lost too much blood, and trying to recouperate from her wounds was too much for her immune system and so the druids decided it would be best to send her somewhere where they were more proficient at the kind of treatment she needed. She didn't need much, so she packed only what little belongings she wanted to keep: her pickaxe, a blue dress fit for a princess she'd only wore once, a gold ring, a perfectly cut ruby, and a sketch of her sitting on a bed with the signature DB at the bottom.
The ship to take her would leave in two days. She wasn't sure she would be able to survive the voyage across the water but it was her only chance, and she couldn't burden the druids any longer.
