Welcome to the Codex for The Academy of Gobiath

Summary:

It should be pointed out that the Academy is peaceful although we have a Militia in the making for defensive purposes, and because we plan to have land eventually which will need defended. We exist to promote education, trade and prosperity between all the Guilds and Communities in Gobiath.

This Acadmey was created to suit the many trades, which you may wish to learn in the land of Gobiath. As well as learning your craft, you may learn to fight and join the Militia or you may wish to be a scholar and study History, and Geography.

Subjects include, ( at present)

Carpentry
Tailoring
Hunting
Offensive and Defensive arts of Combat
Glass blowing
Farming
Cooking
History
Geography
Smithing
Religon and Gods

There will be more subjects added as soon as teachers of a suitable standard can be found.

After selecting your two main subjects you will be to be taught these subjects by the Academy and you will be tested by the Academy methods. If you pass, you will rise in Rank.

If you join the Academy, you will be taught fully in your chosen subjects and you may become a teacher, be knighted or be given one of the other titles within the Academy
As you progress, your standing within the Academy will increase, perhaps one day become a Bearer of The Light, whose knowledge of his/her craft in unparalleled. (( Please see the hierarchy structure on the boards for more information ))

All members of the Academy will have the protection of our private militia and police and are encouraged to help with others problems at all times.

The main goal of the Academy is to promote education and enterprise from its staff and students. Much money can be made from being good at your craft and respect can be earned from gaining knowledge.

Goals summary: (( in no particular order))

1) To teach all the crafts, trades and other subjects possible to our students in a proper and thorough manner.

2) Trade promotion across Gobiath

3) The building of school of all trades and interests

4) Promotion of Alliances with other guilds and communities so that all may prosper

5) The creation of citizens militia that will defend the guild and others in times of strife and need.

Willkommen bei der Akademie von Gobiath

Zusammenfassung:

Es ist wichtig zu erwähnen, dass unsere Gilde friedlich ist. Trotzdem haben wir eine Armee, weil wir planen eine Schule zu gründen, die verteidigt werden muss. Wie bestehen um den Handel zwischen den Gilden und Gemeinschaften Gobiaths zu fördern.

Diese Gilde wird dir alles bebringen, was du lernen willst. Neben dem Erlernen deines Handwerks möchtest du vielleicht auch noch lernen zu Kämpfen und tritts unserer Armee bei, oder du willst Geschichte oder Geographi studieren.

Weitere Fächer werden ergänzt sobald sich weitere Lehrer melden.

Nachdem du zwei Hauptfächer ausgewählt hast, wirst du in diesen unterrichtet und von der Gilde getestet. Wenn du bestehst, wirst du einen Rang aufsteigem.

Wenn du der Gilde beitrittst wirst du in deinen ausgewählten Fächern unterritchtet und erreichst hoffentlich den Ranbg "Meister".

Alle Mitglieder der Gilde stehen unter dem Schutz der Armee und haben die Versicherrung, dass wir ihnen bei allen Problemen helfen.

Die Hauptziele der Gilde sind die Unterstüzung des Handels und das Unterrichten der Studenten.

Zusammenfassung der Ziele ( keine bestimmte Ordnung)

1) Lehrer für alle Handwerke und Fächeres zu haben um die Studenten ordentlich unterrichten zu könne.

2) Den Handel auf ganz Gobiath zu unterstützen

3) Eine Schule für alle Fächer zu bauen

4) Allianzen mit anderen Gilden oder Gemeinschaften abschließen

5) Eine Armee zu Verteidigung der Gilde aufzustellen

Jeder der uns beitreten will, ob als Leher oder Student, soll mir, dem Gildenmeister, Voldar, eine Taube schicken oder hier schreiben. Ich werde auch alle Fragen beantworten.

ich verstehe euch richtig.... diese zunft ist eine meisterzunft, die sich zum zeil gesetzt hat, lehrlinge auszubilden.

falls erwünscht und erbeten, würde ich meine dienste als Holzer und Schnitzermeister anbieten. ich nehme an, es wird mich zuerst jemand testen wollen. nur zu, ich bin bereit.

are you qualified to teach magic? i'm wondering, i've neard not your name among the mages of the isle. there is more to know in magic then there has ever been before, if you are not a mage or caster that can pass the gift of magic along to your students be sure to state that clearly, else many will be confused. if you need actually information on the different type of vocational magic and the several catagories of mages magic i suggest consulting a mage or even myself, i would not mind the conversation so long as it does not taken till dusk.

My question is:

Why "The Academy of Gobiath"?
If you call you're academy so, then I would think, that every town, guild and every inhabitant accept this.
I can't remeber that this happend.
In my view you are not the official "The Academy of Gobiath".
In my view this is just a kind of guild and a certificate says nothing about you're abilities.
I am sorry, that I have to say, that your "academy" is nothing more then a littel school for hobbies and nothing, where you really can study something.

And when did you become "Lord" Voldar?

Dear Sir,

The Academy is new and there are many subjects to add to the list. Please allow the Academy to Grow before passing judgement. Also my name is my personal business I don't think I need to ask permission to use my name given to me at birth. I was born a Lord although I do not use the title unless in an official situation.

My friends, I have decided to leave this world. I have been called by my love to join her. I need to do this. I will walk until the earth consumes me. Please think of me as a friend.

The last moments of my life will be filled with the thoughts of you and your kindness.

As for the Academy, it will remain open unless decided otherwise by Roze who is my closest friend and I trust she will try to find suitable teachers if she can.

I am at peace with my own troubled soul now and wish you all the best in life. My final thought is this, be kind even if it kills or you are poor for the rest of your days. at leat your mind will be clear of all sin and heartache.

I welcome all members of this academy that have no home to join The Kingdom of Roushan. There, you may open another academy and learn the same arts. If you make plans that sound good enough, I may be presuaded to make a academy hall as well for you.
