Automatically. Sometimes you catch a fish, sometimes you don't.

by roleplay.
the character, you got, can not sit down. we all let them stand on a place, where a chair is, and write:

#me sits down.

or something similar.

From the engine you can lay in beds, but not sit on or under chairs or tables.

are you sure? my barbarians eat the fish wit the same low rate of poisoning as in eating smoked pork.

by the way, what does poisoning do?
i eat something and get a message, that i am poisoned, little later i get a message, that i feel weak a while later i get a message, that i feel well again.
does one loose skills or something?

Yes. We have weapon music/sounds. Spell sounds, smithing/smelting sounds, ect...

as regards poisoning...my char really gets poisoned often...from 3 to 5 times a day...and I'm not eating always the same food...I've got the 2 types of fish, smoked pork and apples and cherries. Is it random to become poisoned?

If its uncooked food, you have a chance of getting poisoned..

Apples, Cherries, (Ham I'm not sure)

This was done to give the cooks some work. Go buy some bread or sausage or summat..
