I did the offline setup download and installed the game but everytime I click play is says it cannot launch the client. How can I fix this problem?

You might need to run it from the website first to download all the updates.

Could you be more specific? What did the message say exactly?

It said "unable to launch illarion client" I downloaded the files succesfully and the program is in my start menu but when I click play it gives me the message. I'll try getting it from the web site.

ok so I tried and it put a doc on my desktop named hs_err_pid4044. the doc includes the text:
