"Cannot connect to server!" :S :'(

I already made an account and a character and everything, but after I type my character's name and password and try to log in, it opens the loading log-in screen, and after a min it closes automatically and gives me the error message "Cannot connect to server!"... I tried disconnecting and reconnecting and restarting and everything but nothing works!!

Any solutions please? I'm desperate here!!

Server is down for hours already. Just be patient until the staff can get it up again.
