The new building (and other disturbing things)

Post by Griitash »

When I departed the city of Trolls Bane years ago, the city was a haven for farmers, drunkards, storytellers and small factions of fun-loving patrons. Now, when I return, everything is changing. What once was small is expanding. Were there once was green fields (Yes, MY old cabbage field), a brickhouse is rising.
Now the city reminds me more of a industrialized dwarven
hell-hole than a hideout for the creative mind. The inhabitants rush from the depths of the mines to the wailing of the anvils. All day they work to earn enough finesse and money, so they can brag at the next auction...
This greedy mentality was born when the town grew. Let us tear down all new inventions - start with the house to the west!

The world always changes, it is stupidly to believe that would not happen, that is possible you can after several years back turn and it is everything in the same condition. Particularly, where would be the sense?
Hold their it for really intelligent to turn back to old conditions? Where would the progress be?

Some times progress can be a set back, like wise a set back can be progress but....

As much as I agree with the town maturing out of all the land that this island has to offer, why start mining under the town.
I mean where is the thought in that. It only takes a few diggs in the wrong place and soon all the buildings in the town will come crashing down into the mines.

we dwarfes dig under the city, and we dwarfes know everything about mining, because of that it gives nothing to worry.

the town isn't too industrialized, but perhaps you are too old ;)

Young fieps,

The way I see it, my dear halfling friend, technological and social advancements never made the world any better. They only increased the suffering of the poor, the hunger for wealth and the gaps between generations. But a young mind is hasty, and I have this feeling your heart yearns for gold, fame and a rich life. Be aware, that death may seek you first hand..

In the future it *is* possbible that the dwarven city will change location. One we have the new map.

Then again, maybe not.

Wrong, i only love it to have part on something which changes the "world" and and effected it.
Ather your opinion, and if would have all the same, we would have at the moment nothing.
No library, taverne and so one, because its all a indication of progress and i will see what a dwarf do without a taverne.

The same with sleep places, do you think it is worthwhile, that all have ever to rest under the sky, where they have to freeze in the winter and so one?

You have to think about where we all now would be, when all think like you. Stupid persons without tools and other clothes except those, which consist of sheets.
What would be this for a life?

Stupidty is not measured by a mans knowledge..

Post by Griitash »

...but how a min thinks. And as long as my halfbreed mind works the way it used to work, we HAD shelter and simple tools in the old days. We had what it took to survive and what our society needed to function well. I know I cant stop the flood of expansion our dear isle is experiencing. I only address my disregard of your industrious mentality.

As for your intelligence Halfthing, I can see the teachers at the Illarion academy did not have any success teaching you the common tongue.
Why not seek a minority group of other iliterate cavedwellers?

The word choice and language don´t have anything together with intelligenze.
And your dialect is not my, so I can control it only in limited measure.
But you wrote about something which concerns me, then I was forced to answer.
Who say you tongue is the common? Wrong, perhaps you speak a special language and normaly i am the common?

At least, you dont unterstand, when it would have never given the development so hated so by you, don´t even give it the for you natural tools.

I myself think you should try speaking his native language sir Griitash, and we shall see who needs schooling.

Dere er en skam for moder jord.

And then again he can try to speak in MY tongue. But I should not have made this a matter of intelligence (Language has got everything to do with this). If young fieps wants to discuss my concerns regarding "development", he better attack the issue from my angle. Maybe he then will come up with something more constructive than childish scrubble.

And what angle should that be? The fact that a new building was constructed on your cabbage field?
It's you who thinks in the wrong ways. There has been an attitude change in our town, and yes, it didn't go to the better. I wasn't there to experience the glorious days you are talking about, but to tear down all progress is not the right way to bring them back.
In fact, with the recent change in Troll's Banes immigration politics the town already became a much quiter place. I for myself am always happy if there is somethng else to do then just work. Money is nothing, just a way to compare the value of goods.

The cane of an old man brakes

I thought you knew that the old days were always better, hehe.
Its good to know there are others who enjoy the relaxation of a mug of ale and a good story!

I saw
(and savioured)
the peace in her eyes
Sodomy
(as always)
would fulfill my need
When flesh met flesh, her mouth gaped
Angel Anal
Angel Raped...

you must come to my home land if small houses and green fields as far as the eye can see is what your want. Yes, my home town is a place where all who desire saftey and comfort are welcome. my town is where you can sit down next to a fire and strangers and make friends out of the strangers. Sadly i have not been able to find my hometown for quite sometime. Perhaps if broke off of the island and is now lost forever...
