Java trouble

I am Posting it for a friend who was too lazy to create a forum account:

Ich habe das java programm ordnungsgemäss installiert. wenn ich aber jetzt auf play drücke kommt nur ein fenster in der mitte des bidschirmes von java, auf dem steht "Java Loading...". nach einiger zeit geht es dann wieder weg und es passiert einfach nichts.

Hört sich so an als ob Java Webstart beschädigt wäre. Ist was bei der Installation schiefgegangen?

Es scheint so als wäre es ihm nach einem Neustart gelungen... höchstwahrscheinlich nur ein temporäres Problem

i am not sure what was said here, but is is common for the log in to the actual world to take an hour and a half? im very excited about getting on and emersing my character into Illarion, but this seems like a long download. i am on dial up....could this be the reason?

The download is 32 MB - yes, it can take quite a while.

There is an offline installation that allows you to some of the downloading ahead of time or from a different machine.
