The trade deal with Silverbrand has been concluded. Greenbriar now has 500 Iron, 250 copper and 750 coal for it's citizens. Here's what we'll do:

Citizens Only!
For every carrot seed, Grain, cabbage seed, onion seed or tomatoe seed, given to me, Rumil or Foraker, you will get one ore (Coal, copper or Iron) of your choice. No money needed, just trade seed for ore. This will ensure our farmers, who have little money, can get ores affordably. And the town can use the seed later to pay for more. I will make up any difference with Silverbrand.

I am happy to announce that Anfala has raised 120 silvers needed to begin construction on the new hospital. I am to talk soon to the Druids of the forest to coordinate with them on healing needs, and as soon as our builder is available, we shall build the hospital.

When it was discussed with the builder three weeks ago, he strongly suggested that we expand the 'town hall' and add a second floor, rather than build a separate building. What does everyone think?

If we add that second floor, I thought we could put 4-6 beds up there for public sleeping, a "Hostel" so to speak, and for the patients. What do you think?

If that becomes the Hospital/Hostel, then we would have our town meetings in the Tavern.

Ich bin sehr glücklich, bekanntgeben zu können, dass Anfala die 120 Silberstücke für den Bau des neuen Hospitals zusammensammeln konnte. Ich werde als bald als möglich mit den Druiden die Hilfeleistungen von ihrer Seite koordinieren, und sobald der Erbauer verfügbar ist, wird dieses Hospital gebaut.

Während des Gesprächs mit dem Erbauer vor drei Wochen, wurde von diesem vorgeschlagen, das Gemeinschaftsgebäude zum Hospital auszubauen und ein zweites Stockwerk daraufzusetzen, anstatt ein weiteres Gebäude zu erichten. Wie sind die Meinungen dazu?

Wenn wir ein zweites Stockwerk daraufsetzen, könnten wir, so meine ich, 4-6 Betten als öffentliche Schlafgelegenheit, sozusagen ein Gemeinschaftsschlafsaal, für Gäste und Kranke einrichten. Was meint Ihr dazu?

Wenn das Gemeinschaftshaus Hospital/Gemeinschaftsschlafsaal wird, würden wir die Ratstreffen in der Taverne abhalten.

I am happy to see , that greenbriar has enough money now, to built a hospital. But the idea to use one big room as a public sleeping place and for patient, is not so a good idea.

The first thing is, it were not very hygienic.
And the second point, many times the patients are in a pool of blood.
And so the bed is full blood, too.
I think nobody want to sleep next to a bed which is full of blood.

So it's better if one room is just for patients and one room as a public sleeping place or somethinglike this.

Sehr geehrte Bürger von Greenbriar,

anscheinend ist das Interesse an einem Krankenhaus/Hospital wieder weniger geworden. Bislang hat sich nur Merung Harbes zu den Ausbauplänen geäussert.
Ich muss ihm zustimmen, dass eine Trennung zwischen den Kranken und den anderen Gästen notwendig ist. Die Gäste sollen die Kranken nicht stören und umgekehrt.
Ausserdem braucht man neben den Betten auch noch mehr Platz in einem Krankenhaus/Hospital um Kranken und Verwundete behandeln und pflegen zu können. Ausserdem muss es auch möglich sein, dort Medizin zuzubereiten und diese und andere notwendige Materialien dort zu lagern.
Desweiteren wäre eine Randlage besser, um Kranken eine optimale Erholung an frischer Luft zu garantieren. Die Lage mitten in der geschäftigen Stadt scheint dazu nicht geeignet zu sein.
All dies führt zu dem Schluss, dass ein neues Gebäude am ursprunglich vorgesehenen Standort am Kreuz die beste Lösung wäre.

Dear citizens of Greenbriar,

it seems that the interest in the hospital has lessened already. Only Merung Harbes has expressed his opinion in regard to the extension plans so far.
I have to agree with him, that a separation of the sick and the other guests is vital. The guests should not interfere with the sick and vice versa.
In addition to beds more space is needed in a hospital to treat and cure the sick and wounded. One has to be able to prepare medicine and store it and other neccessary materials in the hospital.
Furthermore a location at the rim of the city would be better to ensure the optimal recreation with fresh air. A location in the middle of the busy town does not seem to be suitable.
All this leads to the conclusion, that a new building at the former designated location at the cross seems to be the best solution.

ob eine erweiterung bestehender gebäulichkeiten oder ein neubau... das ist mir nicht so wichtig, das mögen fähigere geister entscheiden. für mich aber is es wichtig, dass es vorwärts geht mit der realisierung des hospitals.
ich leide seit tagen - seit ich in verschiedenen scharmützeln von skeletten und untoten bewusstlos geschlagen wurde - an kopfschmerzen und gedächtnisschwund. gestern zeigte es sich in bane wie wichtig ein gut funktionierendes medizinisches system ist. für mich und viele andere in mitleidenschaft gezogene personen sind hospitale wichtig.
wer weiss, was uns in briar noch erwartet. die zeiten sind grauslich und brutal... medizinische hilfe wird immer nötiger.

Review of "Tree Law"
Tonight, I discussed concerns about the many fruit trees we have in Greenbriar thanks to all your help. We Halflings love trees, but they must also serve a purpose, for we are productive folk. Too many trees in the way hamper other work that many must do. ((It begins to look like a jungle, not a town))

The laws about trees allow freedom to both plant and harvest them with only a few restrictions.

Some guidelines the Aldermen and I have agreed upon,
*Cut trees in or out of town, but not within the Briar Forest to the west, only on the edges.
*When planting trees, keep them 6 feet ((2 Tiles)) away from the roads and byways, to keep visitors from getting hit by falling fruit. ((Need to see the roads please))
*Do not plant near the farm fields, farmers get upset when cherries stain the crops.
*Do not plant inside the Onionball field (It is for games, not trees)
*If a tree 'dies', please give a seed to any of the government members and they will replant.

Dandelion Forest
In honor of a citizen, Pia Dandelion, who has an undying love for our trees and has planted many of them, we have planted a cherry orchard (25 trees) along the Northeast Coast, and an apple orchard (25 trees) east of the Tavern and we shall name it "Dandelion Forest". This area will be reserved for fruit trees. Let's try to keep a healthy supply of cherry and apple in these two areas of Dandelion forest.

I was just telling Miru, that I believe Lumberjacks care for trees more than anyone, for their livelihood depends on keeping a forest alive. I know that if we can be responsible in our tree use and replanting, we can make Greenbriar beautiful. May the fairies bless our wonderful work with the trees. Thank you all.

Das Gesetz über Bäume erlaubt Freiheiten sowohl beim Pflanzen als auch beim Ernten/Fällen mit einigen Einschränkungen.

* Bäume dürfen innerhalb und ausserhalb der Stadt gefällt werden, aber nicht mitten im Wald westlich von Greenbriar. Dort darf nur am Rande gefällt werden.
* Bäume dürfen nur 6 Fuß ((2 Felder)) von Straßen und Wegen entfernt gepflanzt werden. Dies soll gewährleisten, daß Besuche nicht durch herabfallendes Obst getroffen werden. ((Die Straße sollte bitte schön erkennbar sein.))
* Bäume dürfen nicht in der Nähe von Feldern gepflanzt werden, da es die Bauern beunruhigt, wenn Kirschen die Feldfrüchte verfärben.
* Bäume dürfen nicht innerhalb des "Zwiebelball"-Feldes gepflanzt werden. (Es dient dem Spielen, nicht den Bäumen)
* Wenn ein Baum abstirbt, wird darum gebeten, daß entsprechendes Saatgut an ein Ratsmitglied übergeben wird, welches dann eine Neupflanzung vornimmt.

"Löwenzahn Wald" ("Dandelion Forest")
Zu Ehren einer Mitbürgerin, Pia Löwenzahn, die eine unsterbliche Liebe zu Bäumen hat und viele davon gepflanzt hat, haben wir einen Kirschbaumhain (25 Bäume) entlang der Nordostküste und einen Apfelbaumhain (25 Bäume) östlich der Taverne angelegt. Diese sollen "Löwenzahn Wald" ("Dandelion Forest") heißen. Diese Gebiete werden für Obstbäume reserviert. Laßt uns versuchen, einen gesunden Vorrat von Kirschen und Äpfeln in diesen beiden Gebieten zu erhalten.

Ich habe gerade Miru gesagt, daß ich glaube, daß Holzfäller sich mehr um den Baumbestand kümmern als sonst jemand, da ihr Auskommen davon abhängt, wie gesund der Wald ist. Ich weiß, wenn wir verantwortungsbewußt mit der Nutzung und der Anpflanzung von Bäumen umgehen, können wir Greenbriar schön gestalten. Mögen die Feen unsere wunderbare Arbeit mit den Bäumen segnen.

auch wenn ich mich sehr geehrt fühle, daß Ihr zwei Obstgärten mit meinem Familiennamen versehen wollt, so werde ich mich doch mit Händen und Füßen dagegen wehren, daß irgendetwas nach mir benannt wird. Ich bitte darum, daß dies jetzt nicht falsch verstanden wird.
Sollten die Einwohner einen besonderen Namen für diese Haine benötigen, so wird sich dieser sicherlich irgendwie ergeben und eher mit dem Eindruck, den ein solcher Hain hinterläßt, als mit einer bestimmten Person verbunden sein.
Ich bitte daher von der Namensgebung "Löwenzahn Wald" ("Dandelion Forest") abzusehen.

although I feel very honoured that you want to name two fruit orchards after my family name, but I will fight tooth and nail any naming after me. I ask, that this is not misunderstood though.
Should the citizens need a name for the fruit orchards it will evolve with time and it will be a name associated with the impression that the orchard gives rather than a specific person.
I ask you to please refrain from the naming "Dandelion Forest".

Ich denke, falls sich ein Name entwickeln würde, ginge es eher in Richtung "Süßes Himmelszelt" oder "Kirschglocken Hain". Aber wie schon geschrieben, muss sich soetwas ergeben. Soetwas kann man nicht erzwingen.

I don't think that "Modesty orchard" is not a proper name for a fruit orchard. I think, should a name evolve, it will be something like "Sweet Firmament" or "Cherrybell Grove". But as I have already written, such a thing can only happen by accident. There are things that cannot be forced.

Besides, I didn't even come up with the name, it was nominated by two of your friends. Unless you still refuse, I rather like the name "Dandelion Forest". Has a nice ring to it.

Dear citizens,

I write this with a heavy heart.
Family matters have forced me to make some hard and difficult decisions lately concerning my future here. As you all know, I have a sister, Rosy, who sailed with Commodore Morgenstern some time ago is now in some sort of trouble on the mainland. I just recieved her dove this morning.

She is the only family I have and I must travel to find her, and if possible, rescue her. I fear I may be gone some time.

I must resign as Mayor of Greenbriar. If he will accept it, I would like to appoint Alderman Rumil Togrin as the new "Mayor", who has been a dear friend both to me and many here. I am sure the town will be safe in his hands.

Further I will bequeath the Tavern to Rumil, who wants to start a restaurant and cooking school, a very noble cause and surely will be a success. ((Rumil I need to see you ASAP Sunday, thanks))

I also donate my home to Anfala Antani, to be used as a Hospital until a new one can be built. She was instrumental in raising the money needed for it and will continue to ensure a place for the sick to be treated.

As far as other goods and materials Greenbriar will need, I shall leave everything with Rumil, except a donation to Trollsbane, which I will transport to them ASAP.

I been Mayor of Greenbriar for a very hazardous, tumultuous year and it has been a hard burden, however, watching the town grow and prosper has been a treasure I shall never lose. I love you all like family and when I return one day, I will be home.

Further, I would like to offer whatever services I may to Anfala Atani for the purposes of making Greenbriar #2 suitable as a place of healing and rest for those that may be sick.

Lastly, the area along the Northeast coast, and East of the Tavern will be called "Dandelion Grove" until a name that is agreed upon by the citizens is brought to my (or any of the Aldermen's) attention.


May Greenbriar continue to grow and flourish despite this saddening news.

I agree whole heartedly with Skaalib on this. We will all miss the mayor deeply. It is a sad day to see him go. The banquet though should also honor our new Mayor, former Alderman Rumil Togrin! It should be a going away and a welcoming banquet for those Dusty and Rumil. If everyone agress with this we will discuss a time to hold this!
