I, tjalf kormson, former citizen and alderman of the greenbriar declare:
it was in the time of me being in office, that the people, who want to found caelum have been accepted.
the treaty was, to give the northern tip of the isle to the founders of caelum. - north of the bridge.
so caelum has no claim, whatever might be the form, on the southern part of the island.
the vulcano, and everything beneath it, belong to the hamlet of greenbriar.
neither king nor governer of trollsbane have any legal claims to that territory.
the territory in question belongs exclusively to the people of the hamlet of greenbriar.
so this is an internal affair of the hamlet.
that lets it very clear, that no county official has any say in this matter.
not even the omnipresent upstart head of senate and council man "sir" avalyon!
on the other hand i strongly recommend the council of the hamlet, to accept the offers to cleanse and destroy that place.
if you dont destroy it, the "folk" of the unfounded city of caelum wont take long to claim it.
and if that should happen, the hamlet is in a bad situation again.

To King Fooser, Chancellor Thurbert and Stephen Rothman,
I understand your desire to cleanse the 'Temple' and all evil from it's halls, and I commend you on your good intentions, however that space belongs to the city of Occulte Nocturnalis.
The Land above it belongs to Negros and is not covered or protected by County Law. Please cleanse it to your heart's desire.
However, the city of Occulte Nocturnalis is a part of the County. Any attempt to invade their underground domain shall be considered an Act of War. By County Law, both Greenbriar and Caelum would be forced to take whatever action is necessary to both defend against and attack our enemies. Varshikar, by treaty, will come to our defense. I don't believe you wish four enemies from your good intentions.
I say this not to threaten, but to reason with you. If we ignored our promise and committment to Overlord Nalzaxx and his people, what good is our honor? Would you then 'cleanse' us of Caelum because you don't agree with the affiliations of it's members? Would you cleanse Greenbriar of me, simply because I disagree with you? Where does it end?
Neither TrollsBane nor Silverbrand have any claim on any land on the Isle of Briar. Let us not forget, that even if you do not consider "Briar County" as valid, the Hamlet of Greenbriar had the Isle claimed in its entirety and that claim was accepted by both of your cities.
As you have stated, the Temple is defeated, it's members freed and Gobiath is safer for it, but it must stop now, before we risk the peace through another series of wars.
I strongly suggest that neither Trollsbane nor Silverbrand attempt an action that forces us into a situation neither of us wish. Stephen Rothman is banned from Greenbriar already, but should he attempt attacking Occulte Nocturnalis, a ban will no longer be sufficient. Consequences of his actions will also fall upon those that follow him.
Now, I am weary of these politics over the 'Temple'. Let the bloodshed stop now. It is over.
Respectfully,
~Dusty Bottoms, Mayor of Greenbriar~

Dear Dusty,
I've always found you a good friend, but why would you protect those that have slain many? Those that have threatened, tortured, and even turned against their own member's, for no reason at all?
You ally yourself with an evil, an evil that should not be allowed to walk the lands. You say you will have four enemy's against them if they do anything, but will Varshikar really help defend you in a war, a war started by you trying to defend evil?
Sincerely,
Alli Zelos

I am very dissapointed Dusty, you say it is over, and for the bloodshed to stop, but you are the one stopping us from putting a closing to this situation. You are the one threatening war if we cleanse it and put an end to it at last. And I believe Alli is correct, will Varshikar come running south to defend the lands of the temple?

King Fooser,
Varshikar has the right to decide their own actions of course, however they have given their word in a treaty to defend us, and we them. We shall see if they value their honor, but would you really risk that chance?
I know many think ill of me for 'defending' this evil, but there are two points I'd like to mention.
One, if we turn our backs on our obligations to Occulte Nocturnalis, how can anyone trust our word again? We have never broken our word, and have tried against all that fate has thrown at us, to keep the peace. I don't believe anyone has had to carry the burden I have these few months and it has been personally a heavy one, but our honor is intact. Our word means something and is respected.
Two, even if Moshran himself lived there, I would rather know where he is, protected by law and he stay there, then loose upon the world, destroying everything like a storm. Laws are not only for his protection, but ours as well. Breaking laws is like cutting a tree down. If you chase evil through a forest, cutting trees as you go, what would happen when he turns on you. Where will you hide, where will you go having cut the forest down. No, dear friends, Laws must stay and be respected and cared for, despite who they 'protect', for they protect us as well.
I have never been a member of this Temple you all loathe, but it has been disbanded and it's members freed of their stones. Let bygones be bygones. Demostrate mercy and forgiveness to those who abandon the acts they were 'compelled' to do. Punish those who continue. But leave us be. Occulte Nocturnalis provides a purpose, like it or not. Leave it be, I beg of you.
I beg of you.
There is nothing more I can ask to keep our precious peace. All has been said.
Respectfully,

I have not known what Temple had done. However, I do know some pain can never be erased and forgivness is very hard to earn. I do agree with Dusty what has past is pass. But to who? As head of county, Dusty has honor his words and his county. But what of those who suffered before?
I know this is not concern me since I have no interest from either side. However, it is close to edge of war. Blood could be spilt. Some of you are responsible only to yourselves, some of you carry burden of others; regardless who you are, no one benefit from battles. You may know this but please understand.
I do not wish to talk anyone out of war but I do hope no boodshed. Just take a step to think of the issues, stand on opposite side's view, search for alternative solution... Try anything to avoid war, so when you are in one, then you shall feel no regret.
