Arameh,
Farmer's Mutual Bank is not a 'Guild', but a business and a service. You can not simply "join" it.
Membership is simply obtained by the amount a customer chooses to have in deposits. That amount determines their 'level' of membership and hence the benefits. It is available to all.
Staff are hired personally based on trust. Their job duties reflect what they are willing to do.
All measures possible are being taken to ensure the security and safety of our customer's deposits and investments.
I hope this answers your question.

I would like an account in this bank. At the moment I have about 7 silvers, maybe 9, I haven't checked in a while, which I can deposit. From what I've read, you just store money for us and give more dependant upon how much we let you hold? If that is true, I wouldn't mind storing some of my money and I am sort of interested in maybe accepting a job there. I am good at math and I NEVER lose any coins.

The note is written poorly but is legible. It looks as if a child wrote it and there is a signature below the first one written in Ancient. If you can read ancient, it says Galvin Tjime, if you can't read ancient, it looks like a bunch of jiberish.

Ssafar...The only way you will know if you can turst them or not is whether or not you have met them and take the chance, personally, that was a very stupid thing to ask someone if they could trust you. Most thieves or people, I use myself as a reference because I am no longer a bandit, would naturally say Yes, you can trust them, just so they can get your stuff and leave, no hassle involved.

Now Allen you have insulted me and I wish you would apologize at once. Ask around to the people who know me. I am a very trustworthy individual. If I stated something then I mean it. If I had wanted to be secretive about my offer I would have sent him a dove, but instead I chose to write it on the boards so all can see my offer. This offer also extends to anyone else who needs it done. But now that I am thinking about it I am going to lower my price to 20 coppers. 25 is a bit too much I think.

You are a fool with a big mouth that has quick feet Richard. No one trusts you. No one likes you. No one will ever like you nor ever trust you. Just leave the island and spare everyone's blade the time needed to cut you down. Ssafar, Allen is an experienced Gold smith with a solid reputation, he would never steal from you.

Now Stephen that was not very nice. It seems you are the one with a very big mouth and you do not like me. The feeling is mutual I must say. Now please mind your own business as this conversation was between Allen, Ssafar, and myself. Also, anyone who wants me to smith something for them. Now shut up and go back to the castle you are building, well atleast the castle you own for a little while.

Yes, please use this board for questions/concerns about the bank please.
I'd like to announce that Rumil Togrin has been authorized to accept deposits as well for anyone wishing to start or increase their account.
Today was a good start for the Bank with several accounts started. I thank those for putting their faith in Farmer's Mutual to help your money work for you, safely.

Dear Kevin,
Thank you for asking about our commodities speculation program.
I'm afraid several people have been confused by this. Please let me explain.
Between Gobiath and the mainland sail hundreds of ships each month trading a variety of products that we have grouped into categories. Some months, the merchants ship out more Foods than luxury items bound for the mainland markets, and some months it's the reverse.
As an investor, you would speculate on the price per "Share" of these commodity groups each month. If more of the Group's commodities ship to the mainland markets ((More average players of Illarion)) the value of your share(s) increase on average. You could sell for a profit, or hold for long term investment.
If the reverse happens, and mainland demand for that Group drops ((Less players on average)) the value would drop. Again you could sell out, or hold for long term investment.
The "Shares" are you're investment into funding the 'cargo' of the merchants in the grouping you select. They in turn, sell their wares on the mainland and repay your investment or take a loss, depending on the market that month.
To buy shares, check our page on the current Rates for the commodity you wish to purchase, add up how many shares you wish to buy, then add 5% of that total for the bank fee, and see one of our three trusted Commodities Brokers. Then watch the markets rates, either buying more shares, holding, or selling shares (For 5% sales fee).
I believe this program has great potential for those willing to invest in Gobiath's economy for the long term. ((Basically, get out there and recruit players!))
I hope I have explained the process.
Thank you,
~Dusty Bottoms~

A piece of parchment is posted on the wall, it is crumbled a bit and has a few rips in it. If you read all the posts, it is a copy of one fo them.
