no screen display found

Hello Iam newbie,
when i want to start the game this message pops up:

unable to find requested screen display mode

My os is Ubuntu dapper (linux)
Pentium 4 processor
memory: 1 giga
My graphics card: Nvidia gforce fx 5200
settings: colordepths: 24 bit
display descriptions: 15
screenresolution: 1024x768

well i tried all settings and numbers but it won't work.

I dunno, and I have to little time to think of to much right now but...
Did you try switching between fullscreen and windowed mode to?

Yes i did. I chanched also resolution but the message is the same. I gues it is a Linux problem that will solve itself at a certain moment. I' ll keep on trying....

Untill then, wander around the IRC channel or something.

If you truely did try to change all the options and stuff, maybe you need some other/newer Java software or whatever?
