Changes to the Quest-/Eventplaner

Post by Keikan Hiru »

The quest and event planer system has been disabled for players from now on.
You can no longer announce your quest with it.

If you want to have a self-made quest announced with it PM a gamemaster, a developer or me with the details, we'll post it if we see it fit.

This is a direct result of the current abuse by players who should know better.
Its one thing to have newbies without knowledge post crap, but its very disappointing to see experienced members of the community do it because they felt bored.

--------------

Edit:
Typos.

I think it's much better this way, it was only used as useless spam (The few quests there were there you could just find on hte forum anyway).

They are not really experienced, then.

Thanks Grant, as one of the people that used the System for real, working Quests I realy have to be grateful for you stripping me of this easy possibility to inform everyone affected by my quests.

Use the IG Events topic on the forums. It worked before.

The final decision to disable it, was not caused by the doings of Grant.

Honestly i expect nothing but crap from Grant and i wouldn't disable it, because he abuses this system

Anyhow.
If it is needed to put in such a quest, feel free to contact a gm, quester, seer or dev to put it in.

Maybe give a few "regular" players the possibility to post that? Players are usually less busy than devs and GMs... And they could just help out. Players that can be trusted..
For instance..
Arameh
Cliu
Sam
Meriel..
Bah you know what I mean..

They could be granted the title of .. er... Quest Planner..
And if someone needs to put up a quest.. they can ask them instead of bothering Devs or GMs?

I concur with Nalzaxx. And as to this: I believe that Keikan did the right thing. Personally, I have seen more crap quests than offical/ decent players quests. It's just 10x more work for Keikan than is neccisary. But then again. He over reacted on a player for doing the funny quests (Not Grant) and stepped over his boundries.
