Wehrte Mitbürger!

Heute standen wir am Fluß und kamen darauf das unser Fluß der uns mit Trinkwasser versorgt gar keinen Namen hat.

Wir kamen darin überein das wir das ändern sollten.

Somit möchte ich dazu aufrufen, hier Namensvorschläge zu sammeln.

Wenn wir uns auf einen Namen geeinigt haben wird die Tavernencrew ein Fest ausrichten, um den Fluß zu taufen.

Und ich verspreche FREIBIER

Today we stood at the riverside and recognized that the river has no name allthough bringing us fresh water every day.

That is something that should be changed.

Therefor I call all citizens of Troll´s Bane to think about a name for it.

If we have found a name the crew of the tavern will perform a great party.

Beer will be for free then!

Hmm...
We have two rivers but I think you're talking about the one between the tavern and the rest of the town.

I suggest for that river..... Troll's Vein

and for the other one north of the library with a bridge, I suggest for that river..... Fairy Tears ...because it flows from near the region that supposedly belonged to the fairies.

Believe or not but i asked myself the same question yesterday: whats the name of that river?
i just called him 'the small river' or something like that and wrote that story on, but nevertheless: it needs a name!
and i really like Troll's Vein and Fairy Tears as names. great ideas.
shall we take those? i could also edit my stories then =)

du holst dein wasser aus dem fluss? der fluss kommt aus dem sümpfen und das wasser dort ist abgestanden und faulig. ich rate dir, wenn dir deine gesundheit am herzen liegt, eine andere wasserquelle zu suchen.

@Christiana: Ich trinke NIE Wasser, ich nehms ja nicht mal zum Waschen.

und wer behaubtet das Bier sei verwässert kriegt drei auf einmal dann wird er schon sehen das das mit Wasser nix zu tun hat.

Ich trinke das wasser aus dem Fluss ich lasse es forher duch viel stoff lagen laufen den ist es auch sauber.

darum holt man sich das wasser auch besser direkt an der quelle und versucht dort einen strom mit möglichst wenig schlamm zu erwischen..

für die taverne hat der orden selbstverständlich eine salzwasserdestilationsanlage gebaut

Ich bin dafuer ihn Randorr's River zu nennen, da Randorr wenn er da ist, so gerne und bedaechtig da sitzt und fischt.

In der sinngemässen Übersetzung gefallen mir beide

*Troll's Vein* reimt sich sogar auf Troll's Bane

aber auch

*Faeriy's Tears* ist nicht schlecht, nur schwieriger in der Rechtschreibung *g*

Einen Bezug auf eine bestimmte Person, wie bei *Randorrs River* lehne ich ab, da der Fluss niemandem gehört. Darum sollte der Name allgemeingültig sein.
Vielleicht habe ich ja auch noch eine zündende Idee.

If there are no objections to these names, then I hereby declare the river south of Troll's Bane as Troll's Vein and the river north of Troll's Bane as Fairy Tears.

A suggestion from me would be Tanor, named after the ancient godess of water Tanora.

To name the river like her should bring blessings in our town. Maybe we could build a shrine for her a the spring of the river.

fairy bedeutet feenhaft, zauberhaft

Da der Fluss aus dem Sumpfland entspringt sollte man seinen Ursprung im Namen berücksichtigen. Hat das Sumpfland einen Namen?

I like the idea of Tanor very much or maybe Tanora's stream (dt. Tanorastrom, Strom der Tanora) or Tanora's vein (dt. Tanora's Ader, ist sehr tiefgründig)

For the Bridge to the Tavern, over the river how about Bane's Bridge? We may as well name the bridges if we are naming the rivers...

Maybe we should name the bridge like the name of his builder. it´s not unusual. For example the Mage Tower is also called.
