Slower pig spawns?

Is it me or do pigs spawn way slower now?

Problem is: I asked Nitram the other day and he said no changes where made to it. Or is it meant to be slower at some times and faster at others?

Not a clue about this but i think the server has a monster respawn time limit.

lets say at a certain time the server will check the monsters ig and decide to produce new ones or not, every...2 minutes or something.

You kill a pig 1minute 20 seconds into it, you will get more pigs soon after..

you kill a pig 10 seconds into it, it will take ages to spawn a new one.

I have NO idea if this is how it works..

He means to say that time of the year makes a large difference in spawning of every kind of thing in game. Seasonal, you know.
