log out black screen

why is it when my girlfriend exits the game on her lap top it goes to a black screen that dosnt go away untill she manualy restarts the thing?

No problems like that on my lap top... perhaps the speccies (specs) should be posted...

Taliss,

You are being asked to provide more details about the laptop. Is it a Windows machine? What version of Windows? XP Pro? XP Home? 2000?

It is also helpful if we know what version of Java you are using, what type of processor the machine has, what video card and video driver version, and the amount of memory.

Can she bring up the Windows task manager via ctrl alt delete and kill Java to get rid of the black screen...? Or does she absoultely need to reboot?

Control Panel>System

Will give you processor information, RAM amount, and windows version... for example

Specs are the details about the computer...

The rest can normally be obtained from the Program itself, Java for example...
