ingame music

Post by treason »

i think that some kind of a console command with the function to turn on/off the ingame music would be quite nice.

i sometimes dont like to hear it, but its quite annoying to leave the client and logg in again without..

Or... you can do what I do and always turn the music off and listen to your own music. For example: I usually listen to Mozart.

Or you could be more respectable than Roke and listen to Stabbing Westward, like me sometimes. Only joking Roke :)

Mozart?
tsk tsk tsk... My friend, you must open your eyes!
Bach, Beethoven and Brahms are much better suited for Illarion.
Even if that fails, After Forever, In Flames or NiN never fails... :D:D

I usually listen to (how embarassing is this?) Avril Lavigne.
Her music is really uplifying and fits in with the theme of a better world (Illarion).
Or else I just listen to SOAD.

How can you not like Complicated And Sk8er Boi...
They Rock!
In fact I'm going to change my signature right now to lyrics from one of her songs.

I prefer to listen to midis and mp3s from other rpg games. I think it helps create the correct atmosphere.

Now now, once again I must set you straight . . . :D

Rage Against The Machine will against all! Yes, even SOAD, NIN, and anything else I have forgotten about, blinded by the severe greatness and genious of Rage Against The Machine!!! Best stop before I get over excited, but RATM doesn't fit with Illarion, I only listen to it at night.

@ James, don't get me wrong, I don't mind some classical music . . . sometimes, but only on GTA3 whilst doing insane stunt bonuses.

@ Boremier, back up off Brendan :D Avril Lavigne makes some good music, the fact she is good looking is just a bonus!

@ Everyone, have you all forgotten? He may be gone but his spirit lives in every guitar . . . That's right, make room for . . .

JIMI HENDRIX!!!!!

dear GMs and Moderators,
please dont put the blame on me... that is not what i thought the thread to be
and i never wanted to now what a sick music-taste you guys have...

of course I spoke of situations where you forgot to turn the music off and your own music is then disturbed by the illarion sounds......
((although we all love the fantastic composition of our great illarion music.))

Sorry guy's,

but it is very nice to spend my time to make new music for you and the
game.
I know that the music become tedious if you heard it long enough.
I'm not a dreamer in that thing.

how do you listen to Rap while playing Illarion. i know the only real music for the game would be Classical. Why not Angry music like , Anti-flag, or Nirvana, but most all rock is good. but i just cant listen to rap while playing illarion,

and The Spark Erupts

and Avril.... shes some poser crying into a microphone....some punk....heh

heh yes Dyluk, i like listening to video game music too, there one for every type of moment, and anime music, some i dont understand but they just sound nice . To me thats all that counts. The only good music in illarion would be the cave music if you ask me. 8)

errrm... I don't want to sound morbid or anything, but I could never turn down the speakers. I need to hear the sound of my War Hammer dismembering the bloodspouting body of some lothsome and unworthy creation whilst my right hand reaches for a new mouthfull of chips...

(please note i olny read the first page of this topic)
I olny like SOAD's Chop Suey song.. and Bach, Mozart, and so on and so forth make me go to sleep really quickly when im listening to it when im board, and Illarion can get pretty boring at times.. It would be nice to listen to during a Raid (what i will call town attacks from now on) or a thing of that sort. I normally listen to Rock. AC/DC, Metallica, Greatful Dead, Jethro Tull, Lynard Skynard, Nirvana, Led Zeplan (not sure if thats spelled right), Ram Jam, Rammstien (not sure about that spelling either), Iron Maidens, and some comedy music like Tai Mai Shu, Adam Sandler, John Boy and Billy, ect... :)

Ah yes...
Obviously quite a few people here with good taste in music.
Very nice to know - I was affraid that the all to common zombie like affliction to regular titney and shaggy pop might pop up here too, but luckily most of my fears have now been put to rest.
