doors?
not really a technical issue, so i'll put it here. who has locked the town gates? and would you be kind enough to open them. since towns aren't private property to anyone, i can't see why keys to the doors would be used outside of times of emergency

mmh and no one thought that might be a bit annoying maybe? now we have to bug someone to open all the doors on the island. i'm not sure if there's a magical GM auto unlock all doors tool.
p.s.
if thats so then why are the inn and library and other buildings open, all doors can technically be locked, yet those are open. you sure it was an update?

the inn gets locked by every update, but i try to unlock the maindoor every time as soon as possible.
that was made so that the jaildoors dont unlock bys updates, like it happened in the past. many jailed ones used that to flee

i am not certain but i believe the two doored gates only lock one way (i think) if not you can get into the town by walking around the western gatehouse.
I have my own thoughts on the issue, it is cool that the gates lock at night and can be locked for future confrontations. I think that it is a feature Silverbrand and Tol Vanima can prevent unwanted people to teleport into TOl Vanima. Least this way you can still teleport into Trolls Bane or just walk into it by going around the gatehouse. However I also see the problem of a ghost not finding a way to the cross, however that was a problem with the gatehouses being closeable by players.
So I dunno, I think it should hang around for a few months and see how it goes.

not just ghosts though. imagine what a monster attack would be like with gates where people can't evacuate. and more over villians(PC) will just log off within the wall of the town they want. now there victims will be unable to flee the town so it's log off or spend a hour running around and unable to rp.
it's good in thoery but since this is an MMO and all, it's going to hinder quite a few people. besides short teleport onto the little island where Adron is, then over into town. still feel that safe? because it's crazy evil mages that do the most damage
