Wie benutze ich den Illarion Chat im IRC
Als erstes wird das tool mIRC benötigt dieses gibt es kostenlos bei www.mirc.de downzuloaden.
Nach der Installation und start der Software erscheint ein Dialog dessen Titel "mIRC Options" ist
bei diesen müssen nun ein paar einstellungen gemacht werden. Fangen wie bei den "Connect" einstellungen an
bei "IRC Network" müsste jetzt All stehen diese einstellungen auf "QuakeNet" ändern
Darunter muss die einstellung "QuakenNet: Random German Server" stehen
Bei "Full Name:" Sollte man seinen Namen eingeben.
bei "E-Mail Adress" eine E-Mail adresse dort aber darauf acht geben das der name vor dem @
gleich euren ersten Nickname ist ansonsten Funktionierts nict (Es wird nicht geprüft ob die Adresse
gültig ist). Die beiden weiteren einstellungen sind dann der "Nickname:" unter diesen namen erscheint ihr
im Chat und "Alternative" Falls der erste Nick schon belegt ist wird dieser namen verwendet.
Nachdem diese einstellungen gemacht wurden auf OK Klicken. Nun kann man mit einem Klick auf den
Blitz oben links eine Verbindung zum QuakeNet aufbauen. Nach einer Weile sinnlosen Textes sollte eine Liste aufgehen in der Schon einige Channels drinstehen (Wems stört kann diese Löschen) In das Feld wo
drüber steht "Enter Channel to Join" Gibt man nun #illarion ein (Nicht die Raute vergessen) nun müsste man auf den Illarion Channel sein.
mit "Add" Kann man diesen auch in die Liste der Channel hinzufügen
Hoffe das ist einigermassen ordentlich erklärt. Falls es noch probleme geben sollte schreibt mir eine Private Nachricht
(Wäre freundlich wenn das mal jemand oben fest Pinnen könnte damit es nicht in der masse der Threads verloren geht)

I don't know if it's already been done, but here's a how-to-connect in english:
First of all, to connect to IRC (Internet-relay-chat), you need a supported client such as, the favourite and most used "mIRC" obtainable at http://www.mirc.com/get.html - You can also use less-frequent clients such as Gaim. In fact, just open up google, and search for "IRC clients". I advice everyone to use mIRC, as it is bug-free, most easy to use and most certainly reliable. I will do an imaged step-by-step on how to connect to IRC using mIRC.
First of all, download the client, and run it. You will stumble upon a message about some registration crap, click Continue.
After click Continue, you are supposed to be seeing this window:
Enter your Full Name, E-mail Adress, Nickname and Alternative (In case your nickname's already used.). All the cases MUST be filled. If you do not wish to share your Full Name/E-mail adress, simply enter random text as "I love Karl" or most commonly used, "Karl Is Leet".
If you wish people not to be able to see what channel you are, unless they already know your username, tick the case called Invisible. Now, to select what server you with to connect to (Illarion's channel runs on Quakenet), click on the little sun button next to the " Connect To Server " button and you will come upon this window :
Choose "Quakenet" under the scroll-menu called IRC Network, and in the IRC Server, choose the one that's the nearest to your location.
After doing so, click on "Connect To Server". If you're not behind a firewall or anti-virus, you should connect instantly. If you're having troubles, send me a PM
After connecting, you will most probably see the Status window. Honestly, don't bother reading all the crap, but do if you want to.
The status window is where all server-sided messages will be displayed. A window has also probably opened (by default). Those are the mIRC's favourites. More crap basicly. Simply type in the channel you want to join, in this case Illarion, and click on "Join" or your enter key. Or, another way to join channels, is to type /j <channel name>
Here are, briefly, what the interface is for.
The first button on the top left, looking a bit like a lightning, is to connect/disconnect from a server. The folder with a hammer is the options screen, the one you saw after clicking "Continue", the folder labelled "#+" is the mIRC's Favourites, and the rest is crap you only want to know if you really wanna code/script in IRC. I'm not here to teach you that.
If this didn't work, or you're having troubles, don't be afraid to send me a PM. I don't bite.. at least I try not to xD
