Looks to me like you would want to see a stricter moderation of this topic.
Currently the follwing guidlines for moderation are proposed:
Pointless flaming
Needs further explaination.
How can a Mod recognize this?
The mods by now should be able to recognize pointless flaming. It is what they see all the time on the boards, and for which they lock topics. Anything that is locked/deleted can be appealed, if it it seems *truly* unfair.
Ridiculous stuff which one just KNOWS it's bullshit
Again, the same thing can be said for this as for the above. If one *knows* it's bullshit, it is either harmless and can be allowed (something like Liles' posts), or it is flaming against another player/character.

Reply post to a previous post?
The reply post to a previous post will most always either be flaming, or hasty scrambling to fix one's reputation. Therefore, this kind of post should be removed until people learn not to make it.
Delete unfitting ones
Offtopic posts?
Yes, offtopic posts. As well as any of the others mentioned above. ALso, ones that aren't in rumour format or go against the pre-existing rumour-topic rules.
I'd like to add:
Should you be allowed to post rumours concerning your own character?
e.g.: Reputation boosting rumours
'I killed big dragon tonight! Praise me!'
I think no is the right answer to this. If you wanted to start such a rumour in real life, you'd get a friend to do it. Do the same here.
Should you be allowed to post slandering rumours concerning another character?
e.g.: 'Stephen Rothmen sleeps with pigs!'
Not phrased in this way, no. However, the rumour put in the form that was slandering towards Allura when she had been seen with Stephen and he was recently married to Bailey is good. Very good. Despite the havoc it wreaked
Should you always state some sort of source?
e.g.: You heard Keikan speak about the fairies in the Tavern, he thinks they are all females.
Umm... no. Doesn't need to be a source, as there often isn't in real life. Other than "My cousin's friend" or "my neighbor's sister", etc. However, the suggestion for people to use this is great. Very appealing.
Teaser:
Next upcoming discussion will involve bounties on RPG.
So lets get this one finished.
See, every rumor DOES in fact have a source. The difference is that a properly played rumor CAN be traced even if it is difficult or the chance is very slim or the rumor is a mangled version of what was originally said. On the other hand, rumors on the rumor board gives everybody a conveniently unrealistic 0% chance of discovery.
The thing about the rumor board, is that every Joe Schlob to every celeberity can go start bad rumors about someone or something with the warm fuzzy comfort of being anonymous and without actually spreading it with their character. Therefore, you get a load of bullshit crap with people trying to say bad things about each other.
Realistically, a charater would think twice before trying to start a bad rumor about someone in such a limited population. It's not as easy to spread a rumor without being traced. You have to start by telling someone or bribing someone first, and since you have to start the chain reaction, you run the risk that the rumor can be traced back to you if someone tries hard enough.
Aboslute 0% chance and 1% chance can make quite a big difference.
I'll start moderating this topic very stricly now.
Since nobody gave me any true guidlines (beside my "feelings"), you can
expect a lot of red text to come.
Well, the idea was to go with your 'feelings', I just think "very strictly" is not necessary. The point of any moderation was basically to keep the flaming off the boards. There isn't need for "a lot" of red text, and, as I suggested, I hope that deleted rumours can be appealed.
