Re-loading client

Ok, two questions,

I just got my computer re-installed and repaired and downloaded the client from the website. I have Java 5.0 and put my character folders back into the Illarion folder.

1) Why isn't there a shortcut on my desktop anymore? I tried finding the Illarion exe. file to make one, but I can't even find it. What can I do?

2) I can activate the game through the website and clicking "Play the Game" and the game boots up. I get the inventory 'empty' slots and the borders, but nothing in the window for the character but a black screen. Is this because of the server being down/frozen, or do I need to adjust something?

Help?

For the icons, the online client icon is when you have to right click the 'play game' thing, and copy a shortcut to your desktop, for the offline client (which is when site is off), you have to go in 'run', type javaws and go there, the icon is somewhere around there, find a way to copy it to your desktop.

Edit : When server if froze you will only see black screen when logging in, if it got crashed it will kick you out of the game, server tends to freeze a lot currently, try another time.
