Ich werde nun mit dem ersten Schritt beginnen (dem posten einer Umfrage auf dem Main-Board) und hoffe, daß die Teilnahme weiter so rege bleibt.
Was nun gebraucht wird, sind Kandidaten, die einen Wahl-Thread eröffnen. Wie gesagt, ich werde das nicht machen, da Zasmia keinerlei Interesse an solch einem Posten hegt.
Auch wenn das Ganze länger gehen wird, ich finde das es eine Bereicherung und damit Wert für ein wenig Ausdauer und Beharlichkeit ist.

Grosser Dank geht an Damien, denn er hat diese Idee erst ins Leben gerufen.

How are you planning to get rid of Eliza completely?
If you don't remember, she IS the only source of new money on this island.
Because people are stockpiling money for future use, it doesn't 'move' form hand to hand. And it will make all your plans useless in the long terms. You'll always need her to provide new money.

Also I am feeling a bit suspicious about the punishments? How possibly you plan to ban them from trading with Eliza? I think that is already close to despotism.
I agree that 50% of the members should be english-speaking, since otherwise the council would turn into german babble (sorry for the word 'babble) and they could participate only when someone bothers to translate part of what is spoken (*hint, look at this post *hint*)

You are forcing the english speaking part to make an opininon about this topic on the basis of this one post that Adano very kindly translated, which makes the voting very hard.
Now, I know that it is hard to translate from your native language to english, but it is not that hard. I do that too, if you have noticed, I am not a native english-speaker. And I assure you, translating from finnish to english is hard but, hey, I have survived pretty well the last 1.5 years, and I am not planning to go anywhere any time soon.

The problem with all the sanctions is thet they relay on people who enforce them, at least by reporting any sanction breakers.

I also proposed another sanction system, which goes like that:

1. Money penalty, depending on the violation.
2. Trade sanction. No trades within Troll's Bane.
3. Arrest. The person is brought into a house and is not allowed to leave it. Trading is also forbidden. (So he can't gather resources and start with a depot full of resources into freedom)
4. corporal punishment plus restart of the sanctions.

I don´t want to get rid of Eliza completly, but some more independence from her would be better. Maybe one day she will only play a role as a treasurer for a (fictive or not) king/government... the times will show that.

And again, this is just a proposal how to elect a SMACC-council, the english title should have been "Ideas how to elect a SMACC-council" but the title field on this board was to short.
I would have posted in both languages, english and german. But hey, my english may be enough to write a short posting like this without looking in a dictionary. If I would have translated it, I could not express exactly what I mean and many misunderstandings and unnecessesary mistakes would be in the topic. I wasn´t to lazy, I was just not able to do it.

Not daily, but but almost.
