Can I start a insurance company?

Post by swish1 »

I dont know if this is medieval but my idea..

A insurance company. 1 silver a month. And when you are hurt we pay for the healing potions and the druids cost. Or can I arrange a group of druids that are doctors(druids) and they dont have to pay for these doctors if they get insurance for me.

PS or maybe I can just orgnanize druids and start an guild the Healing Organization

Is this alright?

It sounds plausible. Maybe with a different name though.

Remember to charge higher rates for fighters.

I can't see any problems with your idea except you won't find any clients
Perhaps you should talk to the druids of the forest.

Umm.....I don't think you've thought about this.

There are many fighters. There are many battles that take place in a month. They pay only 1 silver a month?

Do you know how much healing potions are if you can't make them yourself? At least 35 coppers. (1/3 of that 1 silver)

I think you'll go broke within the first week. Who wouldn't pay for this 'insurance' and then collect 'unlimited' potions from you? Not good.

I know you're thinking of ways to make money, but I don't believe insurance would be a viable idea here. Too easily abused.

hm.. Dusty has a good point. But.. Maybe I could create a limit. Or if I could become a druid I would make a lot perhaps ask a gm to create my own builiding. "healing Society"(insurance is too un medieval) Or can Mages heal? If so I have them to heal with a spell. 5 silver for (1 rl month) limit= up to 10 potions. Any more willl be charged.. If anyone would be my client please post here I mean I dont want to start this in ig and be a poor, broke lizard.

PS I am still thinking about good pricing

Normal healing potion=35 copper
35*10=350 copper
5 silver=500 copper.

So unless you're offering strong healing potions, that price is worthless.

No Donal the good ness of this is.. that when you rp getting hurt... is a person who is dying supposed to go to the depot and then come and then buy? I mean people do it but if you want to rp getting hurt you have to rp good...A dying person cannot buy.. so with the Healing Society they would just go to the house and sleep in bed and relax. And LOL they have to pay for bandages. I mean there is no bandage in IG but they have to pay for RP bandages and fees for the healers.

Ummm......I think Trollsbane already has that. It's called the 'Hospital'. Tony Baggins sits in front of it and sells herbs and 'supposedly' tends to the sick.

BTW, the 'druids of the forest' also aid in healing people as well as several people in town with good RP. It's already done.

Even Dusty, ....he must've pulled......oh.....100 arrows out of a lizard once.........while beating back several Orc archers.........with one hand tied behind his back........yeah!

Good ideas though.

oh well... but the dude in front of the hospital he is like an NPC it is always more fun to have a real player heal you.

No, the npc doesn't heal the people. You go in the room and lay down on the bed. Then a person goes and finds a healer and you roleplay it.
