Right now, elf and ancient are the only languages you can learn, AFAIK.

It really should be said that learning elven is the biggest pain in the ass ever. I've been sitting in front of that guy for like a half hour saying nonsense at him trying to get him to teach me. "For the love of the gods I have the tribute!" "A tribute... What should...." *sigh*

Edit: Would it be Taboo to post the English phrase for giving him the tribute once I find it? Because this is just rediculous.

I'm just gunna outright ask. How in the hell do you give him the firnis and night angel blossoms to the Elven teacher? I have them both, and anytime I mention tribute he just does the same speach all over again. So how, how I ask?! Argh!
Thanks in advanced.

Edit: I think there is a bug. I cheated a little and checked an old characters log to see what I had once said to the teacher. And whenever I say what I said, "I have a firnis Blossom" or Night Angel Blossom, he just tells me where to find them. I fear this has bugged him into not accepting them. Should I report this? Or has what you must say to him changed?

I have just come from him and had given him the firnis blossom, but he wouldn't take the night angels blossom when I said the same thing! He may be bugged. There are clues in his responses for what to say in English.

I dunno what happened with the second flower I tried to give him, but I'll keep tryin. Maybe give him the night angels blossom first next time.

I did it about a month ago and it was fine. Try to make sure that your "night angels blossom" is spelled the same way as he says it...

I did m'lady. Even after I tried to give it to him (I spent about 15 minutes trying), I did notice that I could not move the blossom from my hand with the cursor. It finally disappeared from my inventory when I put a book in my other hand, but the teacher said nothing more.

That's why I thought it may be a bug. Because he took the firnis blossom, but not the Night angels Blossom when I did the same thing.
