As glad as I am for his vacating the position, I suppose it says something for his priorities as well as his effectiveness as governor to begin with, that he ignored the cries of his townspeople to step down, but take away his mattress toy and suddenly he is cooperative.

Still, the town must take what it gets.

This blackmail makes me sick, while Stephen and I do not like each other, and while many people do not like his position in government there is no excuse for such underhanded tactics.
