Selling Fish / Fische verkaufen - Question of a Newbie

Hello!

After it took me quite a time to learn how to fish (um... I think 4 fishing poles broke until I got it? Thanks, Ardian, by the way) I am now able to.
So I was happy cause of having learned something successfully and went fishing, on and on. Soon I could not move anymore due to the weight of the fish. So I ate several fish, got sick and was able to move again.
Then I tried to sell the fish to the farmer south east of Trollsbane, he told me he would give 3 copper for a trout.

But how do I sell something??

Where do I have to put the Item in question?
What exactly do I have to say?
How does it all work with selling fish?

I would be grateful for an answer... I know, I'm not that clever.
Plus, I just have to say "Thank You" to all of you, Illarion is just a wounderful game!

Der Halbling am Feld im Südosten von Trollsbane behauptet, er gäbe 3 Kupfer für einen Lachs, aber wie ich es auch versuche, ich schaffe es nicht, ihm etwas zu verkaufen. Was genau muss ich sagen, um Fische zu verkaufen?

Help will bring up a list of commands with any NPC merchant.

As long as you have the item in your inventory (bag, belt, even hands I believe), it should work.
Usually "I want to sell [#+item]" works.
They take your fish, you get the money.

"help"- NPC will show list of possible commands

Selling example: "I want to sell 3 fish"- Fish from your inventory or bag will disappear, coins will appear

So I have to "use" the fish with the NPC?

I want to sell [1+trout]
or
I want to sell 1 trout
or
I want to sell [1 trout]
?

I have tried the help command, but it didn't seem to work.

It should just be "I want to sell one trout". That should do it.

Upon the command "I want to sell 3 fish" he answers "Soetwas kaufe ich nicht".

It still does not work.
Feliam Wardstroke is not buying my fish.
Is there any other NPC who buys fish(salmon/trout)?
Or do I still say something wrong?
I tried:
I want to sell 10 trout
I want to sell 10 trouts
I want to sell ten trout
I want to sell ten trouts
I want to sell 10 trout.
I want to sell 10 trouts.
I want to sell ten trout.
I want to sell ten trouts.

As long as I can remember, that NPC never bought fish... he was 'broken'

Oh... good to know. I just thought he might buy fish - as he states he would and announces a price. So, thanks for the information.

Which other NPC's buy fish?

No NPCs buy fish...

But some player characters might... ask around...

Sorry, none others do. Consider looking for big armor plated rich warrior like guys who don't have the time or skill to fish for themselves.

Maybe they will buy some fish from you to save time.
