Citizens of Trollsbane
Most of you shan't know myself, but i walk your streets and know most of you by sight or deed, and at this time i am confused.
A woman whom many of you know as friend has her life forfeit unless a large amount of gold is raised. 100 Ingots to be precise.
The dwarfs of Silverbrand mine the mines to produce this amount, whilst the citizens of this ladys town sit idle?
Was it not her life she put into danger by saving your own captain.
I shall donate 10 gold ingots to this cause.
Zhambra's blessings with you all.
Brother Darius, Paladin of the White Flame, Keeper of Zhambra's peace.

Dear Brother Darius,
I thank a lot for your help and your offer. Yet there are a few things to clarify:
The 100 gold ingots are not for my release. They will only prevent that the dragon will get it forcefully himself. I would not ask for such an amount for myself.
The dwarves are agreeing on this, because they will get something in return that is worth the 100 gold ingots.
I would ask you to keep the gold ingots, Brother Darius, yet keep them ready if the dwarves fail their task.
Thank you again for your honorable and noble offer as well as for your concern. Zhambra will reward you for it,
Yours respectfully,
Gwendolin Cad'ell

Brother Darius,
I feel very honoured about your concern. I've seen Sir Rothman, Captain Revlen and Viceking Durgin fighting against the creature without success. It would take an army to slay the dragon.
I've not saved a mans life for endangering lifes of many others for my own rescue. Please respect this decision. The dragon hasn't harmed me yet and I'm positive about that it won't in future.
Give me a chance to solve this without the drawing of blood,
Yours respectfully,
Gwendolin Cad'ell

Ye'll not be able ta slay the dragon lad. As Lady Gwendolin said, Stephen, Revlen and maself fought him from Trolls Bane ta the graveyard. His hide took hold o' ma brand new axe and turned it to rubbish, without any damage ta show fer it. It be ma belief tha the dragon itself may be immortal or under the protection o' some powerful spell. Silverbrand will have the ingots formed in a few days. I will see ta this.
Durgin,
Vice King of Silverbrand

I doubt a trap would work, Brother.
It seems that the Dragon is quite cunning.
It would never hurt to try, unless of course, the Dragon has a high temper.
Signed,
Lance Dragonwill

I believe that we should trust in Lady Gwendolin and give her whatever aid she needs, to do otherwise will surely provoke this dragon. She has gladly traded her life to this dragon for others , and in traveling with her I have come to know she would gladly do it again for any person. truly she is one to be admired and honored, so few are so ready to do what she has done, we must protect her.

If the beast bleeds it can be slain. If needs be i shall face the creature alone, and if i fall a good death it shall be indeed. What is the point of life without honour. Where is honour if you allow another to suffer for you.
You say the lady may suffer if i am lost. But then i do this through my choice, not a choice named to myself by an abomination. I shall not let my freedom or others freedom be taken by any creature.

If i were to come to the isle and threaten you Sir Belgrem my noble friend. Would you supply me with gold and reverence?
Your heart is noble my friend, But prepare yourself. If the creature see's this isle as a place where its inhabitants bow down to a show of force perhaps we are already lost.

By the light of Zhambra's path Darius, if you are to face a Dragon you shall not do so alone. Through the ties that Zhambra gives us, and with the friendship he has shown I shall stand beside you as both a friend and as a follower of the just Lord.
If to Dragon slaying it comes, then Paladins shall battle side by side.

Ta the ones who seek ou' the dragon an' apparently their own deaths:
If ye wish ta seek out the dragon fer battle, the end is tha we canna stop ye, bu' if ye do this keep in mind tha' yer wastin' the sacrifices tha' the Lady Cad'ell has made, an' puttin' the entire island in peril. If ye wan' ta throw yer lives away, please throw them inta a fire, instead o' a' somethin' tha' could more than likely kill us all.

I do not understand why all do not understand, the dragon never said it will leave if it is given gold. It said either we give it gold peacefully, (The way we do now), or it will come to Trolls Bane and loot, rape and pillage til it has enough. I am happy the dwarves are doing this because it does buy us time and save many innocents from being harmed in the process, the dwarves MUST complete this transaction. The reason the dragon wants the gold is so it may sleep better.
It has said that all it sees on the island is now it's, this includes the copper mountains, the Fairy Forest, Trolls bane and all it's inhabitants and so on.
I won't let this dragon whom clearly is a fallen and even cruel minded member of the dragon family do what it intends. I have told Lady Cad'ell that she will have her chance at convincing the dragon to leave the island peacefully. However if she cannot do this, the Knighthood of Trolls Bane and all others willing to fight together against it will stand and protect Lady Gwendolin Cad'ell from being fed to this beast.
I think this should end the discussion.

Ye know tha' the discussion will rage on, fer there are still those who dunna understand o' wha' ye speak. An' in response ta Darius, I would not choose ta have her lay her life down. If ye had payed attention ta what anyone else said, then ye'd already know wha' I am gonna say. Lady Cad'ell chooses this way fer she is a noble woman. She asks fer help with gold an' begs fer no violence toward the dragon. I will abide by her wishes an' leave the dragon be. There be one way I can help her, an' tha' is ta gather gold ingots. If later the time comes when we mus' figh, the I'll be there as well. Fer now I'd ask ye ta curb yer outrage an' allow this brave lass ta continue the good an' noble work ta save the entire island uninterrupted.

I understands the work of the dwarfes behind this matters, and also the one of many other noble peoples. And I thank them all for their work to help the noble Lady Cad'ell. I thank them from the depth of my heart.
I also appreciate the words of the noble Gentlemen Sir Darius and Balamos, and their strong belief in Zhambra, and his values burning with the flames of righteousness in their hearts.
My thank and my respect to those brave warriors who wouldn't wait a single second to head into the battle against such evil for a Lady's safety. You honor everything for which Zhambra stands.
But I want to ask you to respect Lady Cad'ells wish, that no weapon should be drawn against that dragon. Lady Cad'ell brought herself into danger for our all safety, and we should honor and respect her desicion and not charge against the vile creature. Her noble deed should not be made pointless through our behaviour.
That I wish as a woman whose family fought since centurys in the name of Zhambra for righteousness and peace.
And I promise by my bound to Zhambra, that I will more likely throw myself against that dragon into the battle, than allowing it to harm Lady Cad'ell! But as long as that doesn't happen, we should all respect her wishes.

A shorte note is written underneath:
I handed the gold ingots to the dragon now. He is gone to rest and find sleep for some years, probably. Where to, I do not know.
My thanks go to all the dwarves who worked in the mine. And my thanks go to everyone who offered me their sword to defend me from the creature. You all honored me and I'm glad to see this ended without the drawing of blood.
Yours respectfully,
Gwendolin Cad'ell
