Ein Gerücht verbreitet sich, dass an jenem Tag ein Skellett und ein Geist durch Troll's Bane gestreunt sein sollen. Am selben Tag wurden sie von einem Menschen und einem Zwerg besiegt, zumindest das Skellett, da der Geist nicht mehr gefunden werden konnte.

Rumors arround the Grey Refuge new Topic are Enwell van Illdoran.
He talks much things about the Bandit Duo, which was lately seen arround. He had talked about his Traditional Seal Ring, and that he never would be so stupid to get trapped in such a silly trick. Other Rumors say his ring is supposed to bring much money if you sell it to a unknown elf on tol vanima.

If you were to pass the Grey Rose Bridge, you might overhear three old men, gathered round fire, they talk quiet loudly..

'Arty': ..Did you hear about the controvesy at the inn Arthur?

Arthur: Can't say i did Arty... Nothing would surprise me though the children these days.. far too brash..

'Arty': Aye they caught a Bandit, one of them Straw hat Bandits no less, the ones that took those rings of of you..

Kolmag: You ad' some rings taken of you Arthur?

Arthur: Aye, by about 6 of them, all wearing straw hats..

Kolmag: Straw hats eh..?

He Chuckles

Kolmag: Now i've heard everything...

Arthur: So they caught one eh? Arty?

'Arty': Aye, cornered him by the flowerbeds, i was there y'know, gave em' some rope, took em' forever to pay me my coins. No respect nowadays..
And guess how much the rope cost? 50 coins! Wasn't even a fine quality rope.. not like they used ti make..

Arthur: Aye, you can't find good rope these days.. Can't buy good anything unless you have some coins.. Like that fellow who came in town the other day.. selling artifacts and such, for a lot of coin to..

Kolmag: What did he sell?

Arthur: God knows, all stolen probably..

Arty: Aye sounds about right..

As you pass their voices trail off, mere echoes in the night..

Rumours that someone has been slipping things in the water to make the pigs breed, begin to circulate around town, you might notice many more pigs walking around trollsbane, and not just the town guard..

Rumours grow of men with straw hats, stealing from all that they see.. some say their are at least 9 or them, some say it is much more..

You hear the old seahorse inn is being sold, some say this is because it is haunted...

You hear of rumours of fights by the southern bridge, between who and why, you do not know, perhaps it never happened at all..

You see a man frantactly scrambling through his belongings around him, his friend seems to be helping him look and ask him what happened at the same time

Man: Bloody theif, he's quicker and more clever than those others.
Friend: Why? what did he do?
Man: I should have known with his face being covered as it was, But he stole the ring right of my finger! and i didn't even notice untill the wife noticed and told me about.
Friend: He stole it off your hand? But how is that? are you that dumb my friend?
Man: No, he was asking about buying some things, and all i remember touching him is when i shook his hand, but no one is that good. His smile was too cheery to be a theif though...
Friend: He stole your ring you idiot, and he's not a theif?
Man: Maybe he is, all i know is he acted too nice to be one of them straw hats, or any thief or bandit for that matter. I better keep closer watch on my possesions when i see him around.

Two sailors are sitting at the docks, mending a plethora of bladegashes and other vicious wounds. They appear a bit ragged, clothing torn and shredded and worn out, and sopping wet from having swam to the bay of the island.

- I heard they be called th' Sea Serpents.
- Damn pirates; jes' wait and watch. Sum' heroes are gonna arrive by sea and spell 'eir demise. And if such ain't happenin', I'll hunt 'em meself!

With the latter words, the second, older one of the two sailors angrily shakes his fist at the ocean, but the first one pats him on the shoulder.

- Calm down, Cuthbert. There's nary a point in huntin' 'em brigands, y'know by th' Gods that justice comes for's all.

Inquired by others, Cuthbert reports that they were formerly mariners on board of a Salkamaerian frigate going by the name of "Leviathan" - the pirates named "Sea Serpents" had forcefully boarded and captured their ship. Cuthbert and Romero managed to escape in time, and landed on this island. Other word from Romero has it, that the Sea Serpents presumably seek to raid the island upon which Troll's Bane lies.

The two sailors depart from the island soon after, taking the next boat.

A rumor spreads about an orc named Ku. There are several diffrent Stories about what happened:

The following rumor is told by two humans. They are leaning on the wall by the trollsbane shop.
- "Do you think he's dead?"
"Aye, I do. You should of seen the look on Revlen's face when he saw that orc! I doubt anyone could of beat him in that state!"
"I don't know, I don't think a guard would kill him like that, it's just too brutal."
"You better believe it or Revlen will kill you too! There was even a lady behind the orc aswell. She was covered in the death after Revlen had finished."
"Oh my!"

The following rumor is told by Two haflings, one young and the other older, by the Depot in the Shop
- "What happened to him then?"
"Well from what I saw, Revlen and some woman approached the orc. Both were heavily armored and had deadly looking blades. They pointed their weapons at the orc and said, 'You will come to jail or I will chop off your head and eat you skin!'

The orc, now he wouldent stand for it! He took out his pickaxe, the only weapon he had at the time, and started to charge. Within mere seconds he had both the guard and his assistant down on the ground, weapons far away from their hands."
"Wow! What happens next?"
"The orc decides that they were too weak to kill. He said that it would be like stepping on bird's eggs."
"Wow.."

The following rumor is told by Two humans, both no older then 14, by the library
- "You won't belive what I saw yesterday!"
"What..? Another snail?"
"Not this time! I saw Revlen beat the crud out of this Orc!"
'Really? Ha ha!"
"Ya! He was like, SWOOSH, and the orc all fell down and stuff, and then Revlen chopped him in half!"
"No way!!"
"But that isn't all! This girl behind the orc was all blood splattered and stuff, she was so happy that the orc was dead she drank the blood on her face to celebrate!"
"Awsome!"
"But some say.. that the orc is still alive.."
"After being cut in two!?"
"Ya.. they say that Morshan spat life into him for fighting to the end!"
"That's bull!"
The story starts to trail off, no longer possible to be true.

Two lumberjacks wandering south, in the direction of Briar Bay and down along the Troll's Vein, converse quite loudly.

- You think he'll notice?
- Nah, all we have to do is file off the ship's name from the planks.
- *sighs* I'm still not trusting this one much. Are you sure that driftwood is fair enough?
- Of course, no sweat! The merchant won't notice a difference, and we can take half the day off. C'mon now son, think about it!
- Well then. Say, what's the name of this ship?
- All I could make out of the lettering was "Leviath". Probably "Leviathan" or some rubbish like that.

The two and their dialogue drift off into the depths of the Southern Woods.

If you wander into the shop before much of the town is out and about, you might see a parchment tacked up over the town charter. The following words are scrawled across it in block lettering:

"What's the matter, Stephen? Silverbrand wasn't good enough for you?"
