On the local billboard of Troll's bane there now hangs a small note with some handwriting upon it. It reads:
Greetings.
Citizens of Troll's Bane, I am Fhelton Tharinius, aspiring mage to be.
My journeys have brought me to your city and now I am in search.
A search to find a master, tutor and mentor to teach me.
Teach me in the ways of the magic and it's knowledge.
If you believe that you would be able to spend some time,
on a student who would serve willingly and listen well,
then please leave a note below this one, and I shall seek you out.
Signed,
~ Fhelton Tharinius

In the dim light of the library, the young student sits at a table, reading a book over the sparse light from a lit candle which is placed on the table. He is deeply sunken in his teachings and learnings, his eyes narrowed and concentrated. One by one he tries to remember all the runes that he reads about and their purpose.
"RA ... Enchanted fire..." Mutters Felthon.
His studies go on, though as the hours rush past him he soon closes the book and places it back in it's shelf. Leaving the library, the young student heads to the billboard to see if there is a reply yet, but alas non has been left. Disheartend and disapoointed, the young student returns to the library.

The student once again stood infront of the billboard, glaring coldly at the notw which had yet gotten any reply of any kind. He stood there for a long while, waiting, staring, not moving a single inch. Suddenly, he took a deep, long sigh and grasped the note at it's base with his hand. Ripping firmly, he tore the note off from the billboard and using both hands, scrapped the note into a small ball of paper which he then threw away.
"Fine... I'll just teach myself everything..." Fhelton muttered bitterly.
