Losing the ability to make certain items - Losing the abilit

I died a couple of days ago and just noticed today that i cant make buckets and bows and chest... anymore. I can only make 2 different staffs, fishing rod,s throwing spears, arrows and i think that it(might b one more). Anyway is it meant to be possible to lose levels like this?
(i know you lose skill when you die)

Sure, when you lose skills, you forget how to make some things.

every time you die you lose abit of all your skills

The levels required to make certain items are linked to certain points on the skill. When that skill is reduced (usually via dying), if you skill drops below that requirement, you lose the ability to make those items.
