Trial of William Elderberry and Zathe Luke against Taylor Windslasher

I, Lord Derek Corydon, Overseer of Trollsbane, have decided to call a trial against Taylor Windslasher, who is accused of murder by William Elderberry and Zathe Luke. After failing to come to a solid conclusion through talks with those involved I have decided that this is the only fair way to decide whether the accusations hold true or not.

The penalty for the act of murder is four days in prison an additional four weeks ban from town, and 500 coppers to the victim or victims.

Each of the three individuals involved in this trial (William Elderberry, Zathe Luke, and Taylor Windslasher) are granted one opportunity to state what happened during the time of the said murders. After you have posted your claims you will not have the opportunity to bring in any new information unless asked to by myself, so make sure you are thorough. Anything that any of you have told me before while in the shop is now considered void, and you will have to restate that which you have told me in order for it to be considered.

In addition, one witness has been mentioned by name, Mezzek, and there is possibly a woman who may have been a witness.

The trial starts as soon as all three of you have stated your claims, and will end when i state my conclusion.

With all due respect, Derek, Taylor is twelve years old. You can't seriously be planning on trying him under the same terms you would an adult?

Taylor Windslasher attacked and killed myself and Zathe under the eye of Mezzek. He attacked me after we had a small argument. He said to a woman whom I now know the name of (Irania). "You can't see anyone can you?" Then attacked me. Then I made another comment about im trying to measure up to his brother and he killed me with Zathe and Mezzek as witnesses. Then he laughed and said noone would believe me. Then Mezzek told him to go home and called him a kid. Zathe and I laughed. Zathe began to tease him calling him a kid. Taylor killed him also. I have evidence as I have a large gash across my chest and so does Zathe. Also he can't argue the point that I could've fought someone else because I would've used my armour and bastard sword fighting monsters or anyone else, but I put it away because I didn't want to attack a child in town. I have my armour and weapon to prove this. It is sickeningly obvious that what I am saying is true, as none of Taylor's words made sense when he was defending himself. As for his clean blades, I assume they are different ones or he cleaned them in the well.

Here is my statement:

William Elderberry was insulting me after having no manners at all in talking or treating a lady. After i told him to be quiet he proceeded to talk constantly, insulting my family name, making fun of me. I walked into to shop and he continued to harass me as did "Zathe Luke" Mezzik told them to go home kids, i asked him what he called me. As such William and Zathe starting to continously call me a kid and a baby goat. As i was walking towards to door away from them, Derek walks in. William and Zathe Claim i killed them and show some scars on their chest. Now that my facts are out of the way, i'd like to state some points.

A. William Elderberry had been smoking Sibanac all day infront of the shop. It is known to be a strong drug that can make you think and see things that arn't there. Also Zathe Luke is his friend. I know i would do anything for a select few in my life.

B. I have only two blades in my possession along with my fathers dagger. I will submit all three for your examination, yet all three are clean.

C. William Elderberry and Zathe Luke are fighters, each one could easily have fought, gotten cut through their armor, taken off the armor and claimed it was anyone.

D. William Elderberry started a Clan of basically assassins. They were not Mercenaries or sell swords like I am. They attacked no matter who it was and used code names, Mercenaries do not need to use code names, Though some do have Nick names.

E. I follow all rules of this town down to the letter. My brother was a guard and i plan to follow his path in morales and values. Though i plan never to be a guard, If the guard wishes my services i would help them over any other payment from the other side.

F. If you believe i was payed to kill william. Think this first, Who would pay a 13 year old kid to kill an older and bigger kid? It just doesn't make sense.

In thus I await what you believe to be true.

Taylor is not a murder. He is my brother and a good young man.
I will stay by his side in this matter and always. I believe in the words of my young brother to the point that I would lock him in the jail myself if they were proven untrue. And been his responsible and family, I wish to speak with you personally Derek.

I also wish an audience with William and Zathe. If they are innocent, they don't have to fear my presence. I am rather curious to hear the insults they spitted on the good name of my family.

I was not a witness but I think your brother would have done it, when I met him he was what I describe as crazy. He had a thing about wanting to kill me. But then William deserves all that comes to him so I plea that they are both Held guilty.

When i said i would kill you, it was outside of town. Secondly you stepped in my way from my job thrice, Guarding Allura. I care not for Stephen and His Knights, But allura wished me to help. So What you could not do i did, i fought the other orc while stephen fought one aswell. Another reason why i said i would kill you, was because i was going to get paid to do it. But I would not. I am not a murderer. I take jobs that are guarding, helping in a side i believe right, Not cold blood murder. It's also a request that i not fight you knights or anyone close to them from a promise i made.

This is in no relation to the trial at hand, i just wished to point out how he was wrong.

Ha Ullyatth never killed anyone and didn't work out at all. We were just a self sufficient group and I'm no fighter, I'm a mage in training. The sibanac hardly distorts my brain and Zathe wasn't smoking. Also Mezzek witnessed it and we'd only just met him and we couldn't speak the same language. He was hardly an accomplice. Zathe isn't exactly my best friend either anyway. My friends from my hometown and my band are my main friends. Kamik, I like you but you can't see past the pathetic story of Taylor. It's sickeningly obvious that we're telling the truth. Any idiot can see that. Your quite the devious one Taylor. Bet you think you have everyone wrapped around your finger and believing your every word eh?

The Windslasher in question is an honest man and you, William Elderberry, are not. It's in my knowledge, and near everyone elses, that you, William, are a fool. You don't shut up and lie daily.

Was it not you, William, that said you once killed spiders in Varshikar? Is that a lie? Or do you really fight? Either way, your stupid lies are more visable than your stupid grin

Well, i dont wanna participate in that "debate". But William is far from being a fighter, the only things he can kill are pigs. and even there, hardly.

I have come to a conclusion in this matter. William Elderberry and Zathe Luke there is too little evidence to support your claim. Even the the female witness you had tells me that Taylor did not attack you.

Taylor Windslasher is free from all charges.
