Rumours and doubts
Trolls Bane wasn't much of a big town, that for sure. Just a single tavern, only one shop and a prison with only two damn cells.
But as in any other town the main interest of people were rumours. Even when Baileys hometown was a little bit smaller than Trolls Bane, it was still the same. Why caring for ones own problems, when those of the other were much more interesting?
In the early morning hours Bailey leaned against the wall of the shop as she always did. That was how her morning began: After putting on all the heavy armour stuff, she made her obligatory walk through town and with some piece of bread, which was her breakfast, she leaned against the shop wall and watched how the town woke up slowly.
Today it was already busy in the shop. From outside (thanks to the new entry) could she hear the voice of an old female, spreading the latest news. Bailey didn't care; she never did. She despised rumours much as politics, probably because she was more than often a part of them.
But right in this moment there was nothing else to concentrate on and that shrill, annoying voice of the lady was not able to be ignored.
In the very next moment Bailey nearly choke at her bread.
Allura and Stephen?
Bailey coughed and tried to swallow the piece of bread, while her cheeks turned red due to it. She blinked a few times and cleared her throat...
... Allura and Stephen?
Nonsense, Bailey thought. Rumours are rumours.
She looked at the rest of the bread and put it back into her bag. Her appetite did suddenly vanish. With an audible grumble she watched the streets...

Stephen, I love your strength, your courage and your honor. I admire you but I cannot ask you to leave your wife. Allura said softly as a tear ran down her cheek.
All she had said, all Stephen had felt since the day he was brought back and seeing the stunningly beautiful elfess seemed to reach its climax in this moment. In this wonderful moment where Allura told him she loved him and that only he could make her happy, how could he let her go.
He stopped her and kissed her gently but when he broke the kiss he was not rewarded with a burning love for her, nothing changed. Sure he felt closer to Allura, but that feeling was drowned by realization of what he had done.
He had cheated on a woman he had sworn to love. Once again.

The moment Bailey wrapped her arms about the one she loves, she knew something was wrong and deep inside her heart she feared it was the rumour. Could it be possible that the rumour was true?
She didn't say a thing. She didn't ask him - she just grew silent and listened to him as he finally decided to tell about what happened.
...
And now, afterwards... she was sitting at the wooden table at the tavern, staring into nothing. She was astonished, surprised... but above all she was hurt.
Closing her eyes, she burried her face into her hand. What to do? Forgive him? Forget about it?

Stephen walked the cold the frosty lands of Gobiath. The coldest month of the year, mas, had come and gone but still the chill left in it's wake was enough to keep Stephen wrapped up in his cape.
Bailey, he loved her didn't he ? Oh he had too it scared him too much, the thought of losing her over a mistake he made .. A single mistake, a testament to show that it only takes one mistake to make a hero fall.
They had grown apart since they were married, it was as if they fire had calmed. Both didn't seem willing to drop whatever they were doing to go fishing with the other, infact they hadn't gone on a trip like that in so long .. When was the last time Bailey told Stephen anything besides how she loved him, Stephen wanted to know how she felt about what he was doing, Stephen wanted to talk about Bailey's job, her faith, something more.
Stephen, he felt so helpless and at the same time so determined. Determined to not let his marriage fall apart over his mistake, but helpless because he could not have Bailey forgive him over such a terribly evil mistake.
How many demons to slay to take back a sin ?
How many good deeds to accomplish to prove his love ?
Foolish Stephen.

As the rumour spreads itself, the Nomad watches the waltz of discord sneaking through Troll's Bane. His favourite dance.
So, he was right: the elfess and the knight had an affair. But, he was also wrong: Stephen wasn't a moron at all. The Nomad wasn't a man of one woman and he despised any kind of family bows. Now, Stephen cheated on his wife. And what a wise move - an elfess! The perfect and pure forms of nature. From where the Nomad came, there were no elves. There was not even much of a nature.
The Nomad didn't came from any Mother Nature's womb. He came from the heat in the Heart of a Sand Grain.
And it was then that, holding his fancy magenta pen that the Nomad decided to continue with his game. However, to him, a game wasn't a game without a bet.
Caeser was writing the letter to the captain, while the Nomad began to think who would be his partner on the bet.
Who would be his dance pair.
