Open Letter to Aristeaus
A letter is found upon the walls inwhich all parchments are pined, this one stands out as it is freshly made with fine dark, near crimson ink. ...
Greetings Aristeaus, Lord of the North
I write you this open letter to firstly lay all on the table, and secondly for all to know what deeds you have done so they will not get the wrong impression on why there is tension between our two groups. It is not something I welcome and after reading this you will see it is something i walk away from.
Four days ago, Zhauvalea, Athian and yourself dragged out a member of my Knighthood, Arameh from town. Once out of town and away from it's laws, like highwaymen you told him to give you everything he had or you would all attack him. Arameh refused, and Zhauvalea and yourself attacked. Gra'able, anther member of this Knighthood saw what was happening and joined in the fray which then pushed Athian to join in the battle.
Arameh fled seeing Gra'able was not capable to help and that Retlak, an orc who showed up did not want to save him. Zhauvalea tried to chase Arameh down and kill him. This very vital, because this shows you were out to truely harm Arameh and not just scare him.
I then found out through Arameh what happened, you lied about it saying Arameh insulted Zhauvalea's honor and that you did not join in the attack on Arameh until Gra'able and Retlak showed up and attacked her. This was proven wrong when Zhauvalea herself came to me and told me a story that is very similar to Arameh's, Gra'able's and Retlak's.
I no longer want an apology from you, nor do I expect, nor ever expected to pay compensation to Arameh for the attack. This all changed because Zhauvalea died in a duel in your name. For that I will walk away, but you will never do such actions again because tho you think it is fun and games to drag people out of town's safety to rob them, most people will stand for it. This is why you would never do it to a Town Guard, nor a Grey Rose Knight.
Further more i would like to make it perfectly clear that the oath I made for you, to ensure your family is safe from any foriegn attackers is now void. I will walk away, as I expect you too.

Four days ago myself and Zhauvalea set about the one known as Arameh, not through greed as you write, what need have i of these twinkets your so obssessive over. No the beating was a lesson my friend, a show of humility if you would. The Knighthood in recent times has shown itself to stray from the colours which you flaunt. The ashes from which the Knighthood rose spoke of honour and compassion, what it now stands for is a force of fighting men whom see themselves above any law of Gobaith and willing to aid any force for the right coin.
In certain the various authorities of this isle can testify to this fact. The dwarfs of Silverbrand whom you attempted to topple, the town of Trollsbane which your men treat as thier training ground. The orcs whom in recent times fear your wrath.
So yes my friend a lesson in humility, if we had wished Arameh would not be standing to cry of the group which attacked him, a beating was all which was intended. Nothing more. A beating to show that the Knights are not infallible. And yourself in your glory Stephen did as i expected, you offered to let the matter to be '' Forgotten '' for a certain amount of coin, and upon not receiving your coin hunted down and attacked a lady. A knighthood attacking women, yes guardians of true honour i can see.
I was willing to let the matter pass after the discussion we had, i had even stated such to those within Varshikar in our last meeting. But for now we shall see.

A follow up letter to Aristeaus is found once more in the dark red ink...
To Aristeaus Lord of the North,
Perhaps your words would hold more wieght if they were better informed. I have justified my reasoning for the recent war with the Shadow Horde. Alkuurg and a few others were killing and attacking for coin, they attacked Simarillon, (a member of my Knighthood), John Merrygate, two more elves who I forget the name of sadly and William Elderberry a citizen of your lands.
As a Knight I can not allow others to prey on the weak, it is my oath. I do not see how it is wrong for a Knight to protect innocent people. Perhaps you would feel the same if it would be benefitial you would feel the same way. However it is not and now you spout your words of how acceptable an attack on someone in a group is.
Concerning Silverbrand, there already was a movement to overthrown Ghorn and the absent one known as Tialdin. I was contacted and I helped them because I saw that far many more dwarves who I was in contact with daily believed another would suit as leader of their race, as appose to one who still does not know how to hold his tongue. However I will accept the blame, for the dwarves acting on their beliefs as I did indeed tell them it was better to act now before Ghorn truely drove the race into the ground. And so they did, and still do, you may not realize, but they still fight for the city.
Now we come to your wording about me hunting Zhauvalea down. Let it be known, that I did nothing of the sort. She came to me in town telling me how I took your attack on Arameh to seriously, and that it was all a joke. I realized that threatening Varshikar would ruin the friendships I have with some of the people in your lands, so I told her that I would infact challenge you. She opposed this strongly and urged me to fight her instead of you. The battle was entirely her doing, and not me hunting her down.

It is easy to justify many actions, but the hidden meaning beneath at times is not so clear. Your write many a fine word i must admit, but from reading your last writing all i can find are excuses. Stop making excuses, you are no longer a fledgling take responsibility for your actions. I myself admit beating your squire, perhaps you should admit to your own actions.

Ar' ya serious, lad? Too funny ya ar' tha only one havin' that opinion about me an' Silverbrand. From tha surface tha Grey Rose, Trolls Bane, Tol Vanima, Varshikar an' tha Magic Academy accepted just me as tha righteous king, an' noone else. From tha citizen of Silverbrand tha only dwarves not feelin' well with me wer' Durgin an' Belgram. Two, from tha whole town! An' since today they found just two other dwarves helpin' them. New to tha isle, unknown to tha towns traditions an' past.
So ya ar' pretty wrong with ya opinion. Ya helped some traitors to bring chaos in a workin' dwarven town. Ya helped a few to try to overthrow tha righteous king of tha dwarven town, who got crowned by tha old king.
An' now tha few will suffer, because of ya an' their doings. Ya ar' not a honorable knight, ya just a powergreedy man, trying to hav' a king in Silverbrand who will do what YA want. An intrigues man.
But that didn't work. Too bad for ya. Soon tha traitors will be defeated, if they don't accept their wrong doings an' apologize in public. An' ya will still stand ther' as tha man helpin' those unhonorable traitors.
A knight should know tha meanin' and importance of an oath. Tha citizens of Silverbrand sweared an oath, an' to break it is a crime. An' ya helped them with that. Very honorable for a knight, oh yes.
King Ghorn

Ghorn, this is not the subject, stop saying you will get back Silverbrand and try it instead. For Aristeaus, most of your says are lies. You attacked me for my stuff, this was not so much honorable like you say, 3 on 1,this i despise. Stephen is not saying excuses, i call that facts and argument. Stephen did not even take the stuff from Zhauvalea's body, most peoples would have trust me. I have not seen him do anything for himself, for now all what he done was to help other peoples and make things more fair. He knew that we would lose that war againt the orcs, i knew also, but we did fight for what we though was right, aint knighthood exactly this?
Read what you already wrote Aristeaus.

Read what you already wrote Aristeaus.
I may have misunderstood what it meant, for me that meant that we had your "blessing". But since i am in the knights, the only thing i have seen you do to the knighthood are complots against it. I have heard of many peoples, listening to your conversations in Varshikar, saying you were comploting against the knights of kallahorn, trying to weaken them by sending the orcs on them. Can you even list me 1 guilt that Stephen did? Or even me since i am in the knighthood? Stop telling your lies, and please Ghorn go cry somewhere else.^Aristeaus wrote:
The knights of Kallahorn, a group when first formed were led by a murderer, and all the knights which followed the name were killers. The members you see struck from this list are the filth. The ones who are no more part of this noble order left for a reason. They did not have heart..
Stephen Rothman redeemed the name of the knights, through selfless acts and great sacrifaces in the name of others, a truer man you shall not find. If you think you have heart, and the selfess spirit which not many possess write your name upon this noble wall.
A harder test you will not find, to follow in this mans steps, but in doing so I am sure a path will open before you leading to great things, and your life shall be clear of guilt.
Hail the Knights of Kallahorn, My blessings you have .

Ther' ya see his guilt. Thanks Rogan for bein' honestly, an' tellin' tha truth. We may not be well with each other, but I respect an' honor that sign of moral courage an' honesty by ya, aye.
An' Arameh, I an' my loyal dwarves AR' back in Silverbrand. We never really left it. Every dwarf of tha traitors thinkin' different is free to come to me an' proof it with his axe. But in tha last weeks they avoided me an' my fello dwarves, an' tha battles. Findin' every time new excuses for not defendin' their traitorious claims with their weapons. Just throwin' around with foul, honorless words.
They lost.

Rogan was thrown out of Silverbrand because he opposed Ghorn being King. So surely it does not take a terribly long leap of the imagination to put him with others whom oppose Ghorn ? But alas Rogan was brought into Varshikar and so he would not join. Do not think Ghorn that he supports you because he does not side with Durgin.

Stephen, ya should learn to read.
I never wrote that he side with me. Rogan was never a citizen of Silverbrand, so he was never thrown out. I havn't put Rogan to tha traitors, never I did. I made a list of tha traitors public, Rogan was never part of it.
Could ya stop spreadin' lies, lad? Or ar' ya just unable to read what others wrote?
