n a forest clearing, moonlight shines through the canopy overhead to filter down on a lone figure.
A lovely, enchanting figure that appears carved from an exceptionally fine white stone is bathed in the silvery light. The figure appears to be an expertly crafted statue of an elfess. Her face is, like almost all of the race, lovely and delicate, with a rosebud mouth and high cheekbones. The finely pointed ears disappear into a mass of long, flowing curls that frame the lovely face and fall gracefully about the shoulders and down the back. The elfess wears a long dress whose folds of stone flow elegantly to the forest floor, and a wonderfully formed necklace appears to adorn the statue's throat. Curiously, this necklace is not part of the statue, but a real, gemmed thing. Although it is different from the rest of the pure-white statue, its golden setting and bright blue sapphires seem permanantly attached to the neck of the statue.
Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this lovely statue is its face; Its face is unbelievably lifelike, and the expression it bears it at once beautiful and mournful.
