Both smithing and blacksmithing under skills, no mining

I have noticed on my craftsman character than under craftsman skills the following are listed:

Smithing
Carpentry
Blacksmithing

Are smithing and blacksmithng different skills or did they accidentaly replace mining with one of them?

those are ones who get free points in. blacksmithing is nothing. smithing is the one that will go up.

You have to work on mining yourself. No freebies there.

blacksmithing i believe is the skill used to actually make the items out of iron ingots. smithing is when you smelt the ores into the iron ingots.

even stranger, I havent worked on any of the skills exept mining yet my smithing skill is bluer than rest

If you told the very first NPC that you want to become a craftsman, you get these for free.

As Pocal already mentioned.

Your smithing skill comes out bluer than the others at first anyway, keep working and you'll get the skill.

There are no smelting skill.

Blacksmithing never got darker for me, and I've smithed and smelted many times. All skill gain from them goes to smithing.

It's a bug that you get "blacksmithing". Will be fixed one day.
