Crushing the resistance

Post by Thurbert~ »

The king was driven out of the town, after a harsh battle.
Thurbert still felt the grudge inside for not being there to help.
He promised himself to sharpen his axe and after reading the
names of the people involved in the ambush he promised to
avenge his king.

The first opportunity arose in the cursed ruins.
Burlok, a dwarf which he has tricked the other day to
tell him his name and views about Ghorn fought
against the undead.
After brief inquiry, he decided to run,
but couldn't escape Thurbert's axe.

He fell quickly.

A shame for all dwarven kind..
can't even fight without tha' other traitors..

Thurbert murmured, leaning over the corpse.
Without hesitation he lifted Burloks head a little
and shaved off some strands of his beard and hair.

Ye dun' need tha' naemore fer ye're nae dwarf in me eyes.

Carefully, he stored it in his pocket.
The first one fell, the others would follow.

Some days later he met Belgram in Trollsbane.
He claimed himself to not be involved any longer.

lies...

He opened a portal through which Thurbert followed him quickly,
which would turn out to be a big mistake...
Challenged for a honest fight, Belgram declined.

I dun want tae spill me brothers blood...

the words echoed in Thurbert's head.
Yes? You do? Do you? And why did you help
to ambush our king then?
Pick up your weapons and fight now, coward!

Thurbert charged and guided his axe with all his anger and fury.
Belgram didn't stand a chance.
Once more he shaved parts of his beard and stored it away.

Two be done.. but tha big one still be aroun' thar..

Thurbert murmured as he cleaned his axe in the river.
The head of the rebellion was still to be found,
and he'd pay dearly for what he has done...

**In an sleepy state Durgin checks the boards, just as a tattered message comes in. He turns to read the message from the one who had reborn himself and removed himself from Durgin's ranks. As he reads the note his blood starts to pool in his brain and he lets out a deafening roar. He starts talking to himself 'Thurbert will die!' Quickly he posts a message on the boards because he has hunting to do and his prey will not come out alive. **

Thurbert, you ignorant fool!! Belgram was no longer beside me. All further blood shed I pu' on yer hands and yer hands alone. Peace was offered an' was ta be excepted, the two who coonvinced me o tha were Belgram an' Friedwulfa. Now, I have no choice, but ta kill ye. Ghorn I hope ye see this fer wha it is. Tha fool Thurbert admits ta chasing down an' fightin a dwarf who specifically said he didn' wan' ta fight. If ye don' belive me ask yer lass Friedwulfa how Belgram felt! I wan' an' demand Thurberts' head!! If this is given ta me peace may still be made. He has committed a cowardly an' despicable crime an' with o' without yer help he will pay. This is no' honorable.

Thurbert reads the note quickly and utters a quick "Arr!" obviously amused by it. He grins while writing a reply and pins it to the board forcefully using a throwing axe.

It be bold fer ye tha talk o' peace an' tha I'd be tha reason fer nae having it. If ye an' yer pack o' traitors wouldn't have ambushed tha king an' some loyal dwarves all o' this would've never happened an' we wouldn' need peacetalks. Ye an' yer traitors will pay fer yer bloodsheed an' then ye can apologize an' ask for readmission tae Silverbrand.

Changin' yer mind an' turning yer back on tha rebellion doesn't repay tha damage ye caused an' you didn' show any repentance for yer part in tha slaughter Belgram tha's why I came an' took yer beard, tha be payment enough an' if ye apologize now I'll be tha first tha accept it.

Oh an' Durgin:

If ye wan' me head, come an' get it, but promise me tha' this will stop after this last fight, naematter how it'll turn out.

((Pm me so we can find a time for one last fight, I grow tired of this whole RP))
