Town Guards - Um... this is important.

I know this might be suitable for a IC board, but this concerns OOC too.

A group calling themselves, the Town Guards.
They have been finding people that are alone, and attacking them in a group of around four people or more. I am very distressed about this. It is making the game very difficult to handle. Where people (including) newbies are being pk'ed repeatedly. I personally had fallen prey to such acts of stupidity. While being threatened and insulted by one of them, i was attacked later by a group of them, for defending myself. My combat skills and many of my common skills were lowered by extreme amounts, as where they repeatedly killed me, resurrected me, then killed me again, over and over again for some 70+ times. I am not a newbie, but have seen them attack people inexperianced and people that cannot defend themselves. Now I could fight and win many battles with any one of the Town Guard members, mainly because they are weak solo, but dangerous en masse. I know of one member, the person with the name Warlord(Gylyn) seems to incite these foolish attacks.
I would just like to bring that to as many people's attention as i can.

As far as I could see from the one incident I checked out, Gylyn stayed in character and made roleplay. He gave several warnings before attacking and tried to enforce the "no spells in town law" that is accepted by many players. Thats what I would suppose a town guard should do.

it helps if you tell us the time when it happend and perhaps the numbers and names (if you know them) of the killers

if they had killed you 70 times in a row then they would get many trouble i think because the rules

casting spells in town is not allowed an will get you into serious trouble. Except for the healing an create food spells, IF you don't cast them in a row an spam the screen with it.
NEVER train magic skills in town.

Sure its everyones responsibility to read the rules, but these kind of rules are written nowhere. At least I haven't seen it on any guild homepage.

I don't know how this turned into a conversation about magic in town.
Because i didn't cast magic in town.
And i haven't seen anyone get attacked for that.
But i have seen people get attacked and repeatedly killed... for no reason other then for sport and enjoyment.

LOL warlord? i call myself warlord? you ran when I fought you for murdering someone if memory serves. Hardly anything you wrote is true for one thing I destroyed you first for murder and then when you ran we killed you many times, it is true, but the things you did can't be excused. And also I got people to help me because you were running and hiding and i couldn't find you alone.

And ... in fact ... I am a town guard! My task is to protect the laws players have made (if written down or not). And in fact the law which forbids casting in town is a law accepted and tolerated by the majority of players.
But by this, the problem with making laws occurs once more. If you look into the other boards you'll find several discussions about a town council and such stuff. But there were no real laws made, only ideas were discussed.
But now it seems we have to put up some real laws before chaos takes control in the once so peaceful town Troll's Bane.

Yet... it seems you love to lie.
Though you seem to suck at even that.
For when i fought you... you ran, then you lied to your own friends saying that i never fought you.
Everything i said in there was true.
Having you and your friends kill me around 70 times... is punishment for fighting a guy?
I was really pushing for you and pking players like you, to be banned.
Because you people are seriously ruining the game.

Neonfire... i'm sorry, but it seems as though your fellow Town Guards, don't seem to give a damn about any laws.
Here is what i've observed-
Pk'er 1: Ah look that fag picked up something i left on the ground.
Pk'er 2: Yeah he did!
Newbie: Huh?
Pk'er 1: He's a thief! He has to be killed!
What follows is the repeated killing of the said person.
I don't agree with that... really.

You shouldnt take anything that lays on the ground without asking. Ask who the owner of the object is. If noone says thats him, then can you take it without the prob of becomming a thief. If anyone says that the object is him, you must ask him to gain it.

NEVER kill someone repeatedly. If he is dead - he's dead. He hasn't any guilt any more. If you kill him again that makes yourself a murderer because someone newly revived is the innocence in person.
If however your victim attacks you again, of course you have the right to defend yourself, but please ask him to stop first.

Gylyn why did you attack me??

A lizardmen stood and insulted me and Crom Fayr calling us littel guys and said that we smelled bad. Then after several warnings me kill the lizardmen. Then he tell he will get a friend and logs off. then Gylyn comes in and says that he hates murderers and attacks me!
We are in the same guild! he insulted me dwarfish brotherhood! But he only cared to kill me, but did not succed thanks to me many potions have!

me want an explanation of this act

if i see someone killing again and again the same char
he better presses the esc-key and stays offline for a week (ban urself for a week) because it is against the RPG-rules and i have no prob to write down the char number and send them to the gods or call a few gms

btw dont try to lie here at the boards because the sever knows the truth

logging out after a fight or provocation and logging in with another Char to kill your opponent is no cent better by the way.

i think it is better for him when he bans himself for a week by his own
so he dont produces more chaos what then arises by so called pk hunters

because when i start do deal with the anti-rpg killer i think it dont want be so nice like only a week of ban would be for him

sure if u have a normal fight it is lame to use the esc-key

btw if u see such action tell him from the rpg-rules if he is interested in rpg he will surly stop it

but since the ironhammers dont have a set of rules, i cant punish you

I see more than just I am disterned about Gylyn's idioticy. Though i would rather him be banned or something, so he could wreak no more havok among innocent players.

And Rag... on my last post.. i wasn't talking about myself, i observed a newbie doing that.
And the people that attacked him had left far away. What the newbie picked up was like a piece of ore or something, totally unprovoked.

cause we always have a good reson...
dwarfs do have a set of honor...

gylyn ,you have the wrong attitude...
this world is too full of chaos to be conserned by right and wrong...
its our side, and the other side...

if an ironhammer member killed your friend, then its a different matter...
but its only a eye for a eye, if there are unknown murderers...

I'm sorry Leif, but Gylyn's actions were not in good reason.
Not at all.
Therefore, Ironhammer don't always have a good reason.
All the things he did are incredibly inexcusable.
