A city for Lizards?

This text is written in the Lizard tongue

Dear Brothers and Sisters Children of Zelphia,

I beleive that it is time that we build our own city, on land; to show the people's of Gobaith that we intend to remain on the surface. Below there is a seperate document detailing my ideas for the place.

The thing which makes the city different from that of the other towns, is that I intend to build it UPON the water, a kind of floating city. Of course there is no lake large enough to hold it for now, but we can dig one out and fill it with water slowly, then attempt to breed fish in it; so as to have the best fish around. I'd suggest that we even speak to merchants, to bring us fish not found in Gobaith, so we would have rare fish as well.

Of course, there will be a large temple to Mother, and perhaps we can hire a vendor, perhaps our brother in Trollsbane could come and join us; to sell landling's fishing rods; fish and of course supply us with armor which we can use.

As for the governing of the city, any one who helps to supply the goods, will be given a say, we will have no supreme ruler like the other landlings. Please write your name below if you wish to support; or have better ideas.

This is not a new proposal, but where many have failed, I hope that we can succseed.

Very clever of you master Fooser, I am however as a guard in order to help protect the weaker. I am also a Paladin of Tanora, and i do not disrespect one for the other.

Brothers and Sisters, children of Zelphia;

We need more support, if we plan on turning this dream into reality; and the complexity for the building requires us to wait a while before building anyway; we are still trying to work out how much items we;ll need for the building, and we will ask the help of others as well in order to get them.
As for a name, after a long discussion with Mazrian; we have come up with one. The city will be called Zzyathis; however we note that landlings might have a problem with its pronounciation, so in the common tounge it will be corrupted to "Seratis". if anyone has any better names, please use this parchment to suggest. It may please you to know that we have thought of every detail which might happen to the city in case of emergency, so you can rest easily.

Now I bring a question up, should we try to make an allience with a guild, to allow them use the city as their 'base' in return for their support? I immagine it would greatly help us; I would suggest the Knighthood of Kallahorn, for they were attempting to rebuild Kallahorn and failed, which shows that they have money. I still haven't talked to anyone, but I will if the rest of you agree upon it.

Children of Zelphia;

I continue to discuss with the architect for the hope of our dream turning into reality. A city may be too large to start off with, so it is best if we first try to construct the temple, and then expand it as the city grows. Below is an impression of how I hope it will look, once it is ready.

The 4 rooms at the corners will be for the other members of the council, once the city expands, they will come into use; for I see it as the best way of having a government. The government as I suggest is will be composed of 5 lizardfolk; High Templar (takes care of the religious requirments of our brothers and sisters; and draws them towards Tanora), High Guard (takes care to protect the city, and its people), Ambassador (takes care of our diplomatic relationships with other guilds), Economic Advisor (takes care of the building, funds are resources present) and General Counciller (checks to see that everything is proceeding smoothly).

Again, I call for all Children of Zelphia to give their aid.

Xalliar, I like your idea, however we should take things one step at a time

I would have recommended you as the High Templar, yet discuss it with your brothers about the positions. You are guaranteed one of those positions; and I will take that which is remaining.

I am still not sure what we need to build with, it is a lenghtly process, for it has to be well engineered, otherwise it will sink.

I spoke to the architect, and he said that it wasn't a good idea, because there aren't enough of us to be able to build it, it would take too much time and require too complex calculations.
