Maybe I should just move back to Runescape (Hate that game)
- Why would it take so long? I myself am a game designer, and most 3D games, take only up to around 2 years to have a nice game. This is with a staff team of only around 6-8 members. This is not even a full out 3D game. This is more like 2D isometric... But I suppose some people prefer to work slow, to get the bugs out first, rather then work fast, and then go back...
And how many of that games are still alive or have a 100 % roleplay atmosphere ingame and no damn WoW, Runescape or Tibia "woot i am twelve year old and love slashing monsters and talking ooc whole time over" atmosphere?
[Off-topic] WoW actually does have a roleplaying community upon the Moonglade Realm. We also have kiddies, but since they never reach highlevel, we actually have a nice RP community. I dare even say that the RP is equal to what we have here, save for the fact that playerrun kingdoms do not exist because of the game mechanics.[/Off-topic]
To Berenind, you did voice your opinion in a rather degrading matter, what got some players rather flared up. Next time, mayhap you might want to take a look into the actual game before making comments, wether good or bad. The people behind the board accounts that have posted are really nice people.
Illarion is not going to be "completed", as Japheth already said.
Thats why a development time of 5 years is not slow and making your chain of argumentation totaly false.
You are correct, I mis-read what he said. I understand now, why it has taken so long. It is an ever changing game, with new editions being added all the time.
- I did not mean for this to get a bit out of hand. I few players spoke a tad bit aggresivly towards me, so I had to stand my ground. I understand 100% why though... They are a member of this community, and there not going to let someone of my status (New player), disgrade their game. (I have played the game)
