IM EXTREMELY NEW, HELP!

Post by T.CAKE »

I've created an account and stuff and they told me i have to wait a few days to see if my account was accepted. Whats that suppost to mean? I have to wait a few days before i can play using the account, or wait a few days to use my account on the main-site or something?

Help would be highly appreciated.

1) Please don't start topics in caps ;)

2) It means, wait until they approve your account before you can make characters. Read the stickies on this board ;)

We work our way through accounts manually, so it might take some time to reach yours. Once we have accepted your account, you can go ahead and create a character.

Also, we're currently super swamped with account applications. There are 67 at present. There are a few of us working on them right now, so we might get through them quick-ish.

Try rejecting everyone whose accountname starts with a consonant. You'll get through fast that way ;)

(Kidding -.-)

Thank-goodness. That was a quickiy, the message emailed to me about registration, was that automated? Because everything here seems manual, but to admit it, isn't automated mechanical mechanisms more efficient?

The manual way means we filter better.

...It's like screening your calls. You have to decide for yourself, not have your machine decide if the telemarketer on your line is worthy.

I got rejected, i'm requesting another name Cornelius Tarnax. :D hope this will do way way better than 'Destructor'. Names have to be forcefully old-fashioned which has made me a drift a little away. But im still here, on the horizon, on a raft, not made properly, and is sinking..

If you read the name rules, you would have known that that name was not going to be accepted. Good luck with your second option.

Lol, destructor is rubbish. Anywho my name now will be Cornelius Tarnax, (hopefully), and that will be my second and last character.

Put it this way. If you met a fellow at the bank who introduced himself and claimed to be named "Destructor", would you be very convinced?

But it's a roleplaying game. If you still don't understand that element of Illarion by this point, I strongly suggest you review the rules again.

Edit- STRONGLY.

Again?Look, i don't know about you people, but when it comes to TERMS & CONDITIONS i read every single last bit of it. People normally skip it, i don't. I've done my time. I don't want to do it again. And how do you think i found out about Illarion? Actually...good questions, how did i know?! This is disturbing...

It's not the terms and conditions we're worried about. It's more the fact that you understand what it means to roleplay. If you find out what this really means through the pages on the main site, you will be able to easily go in game and have fun stepping completely into a character's shoes. If you don't find out, you'll just be able to go in game and be rather nastily shunned for asking about "levels," speaking Out Of Character (OOC), et c. And then you'll just be known as "another one of those who just didn't 'Get It'. "

It shouldn't be disturbing for you. We're not asking you to read War and Peace, or learn quantum physics in a single hour. It's for your good, it's for our good, it's for everyone else's good. You'll be a happier camper (player).
